    Black/Gray Phoon

This isn't a kill so much as a curiousity as to who it was. Tuesday night I was cruising along Rt. 46 East in Ledgewood (by Cliffs, but in the opposite direction for those familiar with the area). I really was minding my own business, on my way out to pick up a 12-pack and some other stuff...

Free to a good home - decals

Hi all, I owned a Typhoon about 4 years ago. At that time I had arranged to have decals made for the center caps of the ZR1 wheels. They came put pretty decent, but were a pain in the butt to remove from their backing paper without ripping them. I sold a few and stuffed the rest in a closet...

    Paging Thomas of Hoboken

Thomas, Got your e-mails. Can't reply - keeps bouncing. I don't have the wheels anymore - sold them last weekend. Shoot me an e-mail and a way to get in touch. Jim

Anyone ever change their oil cooler lines?

Looking for some advice as to how to do it. Have the inner fender off, it doesn't look like I'm much closer. Thanks, Jim

    Oil Cooler Lines Availability

Hey all, Are the oil cooler lines still available from GM? Mine are leaking pretty bad, and the part number isn't coming up as valid at GMPARTSDIRECT. Thanks, Jim

    Overboost - why?

Hi all, My truck has been overboosting for quite sometime now. Even a POV doesn't react fast enough to keep it from shutting down. I'm constantly adjusting the POV and it doesn't seem to help. I have an ATR exhaust and an RT cat (not gutted). I know other people have hi-flo cats and exhaust...

    Leaky CAC tank neck

How to fix? Local welder said the neck is pressed in and too thin to weld. Should I pry it out and JB Weld it back in? This is the 3rd leaky tank I've gotten. Is it me? Jim

    Green/Gray Ty in Bridgewater/Pluckemin NJ

Behind me, 2 cars back, all through The Hills. Went toward 206 North, I turned into the condo complex. Would've slowed down to chat, but I was on a mission. Anyone? Jim

    Porsche 928

In scenic Pluckemin today. On the way to pick up my car-pool buddy. Going south on 202, it's 2 lanes at the light at the edge of Pluckemin. The right lane is kind of an FU lane because it turns into a right-turn only lane just before you go under Rt. 287. So if you're there, you gotta merge...

    Fast S10s in Northern NJ?

Just curious- My brother had a run in with an S10 pickup, purple he said, that gave him a run for his money at highway speeds (50+). Rt. 46 in Ledgewood, NJ. He drives a lightly modified (high-12s) LS1 Z28. Said it sounded like it had a supercharger on it. If he could hear it over his...

Lude Type SH and a VW

Don't know what kind of VW, but it had round fogs in the bumper by the parking lights. Toolin along Rt. 10, doing my usual 10-15 over. Catch up to a Lude Type SH (must be Japanese for "not as slow as the regular Lude, but still slow". Evidently the Lude and VW had some kind of "race" going on...

    Blown Headgasket?

Hi all, Ever since I've gotten my truck, it's run pretty rough. I've narrowed it down to the #1 cylinder fouling the plug with oil. Not a lot of oil, but it doesn't take much to foul the plug and lean out the mixture enough that it pings. I'm also missing oil - a quart or so every 5-600...

    ML530 "AMG"

I don't think there is such a thing, but that's what it said on the back. It was a punked out ML500 Mercedes sport ute. Definitely a V8 - loud, chrome hammers, mirror tint. I went by him pretty quick, but didn't notice anything special about it until I saw him gaining quick in the rear view...

    Delay when starting

When I turn the key to start, there is a slight delay before the starter actually goes. Not a long time, but long enough that I go "what the….?", and then it turns over. Seems worse when it's cold. What is going bad? Ignition switch? Starter solenoid? TIA, Jim

    V8 S10

So I'm tooling around town, had to pick up some beer, kitty litter, and some threaded rod (strange combination of things, I suppose) and I roll up to one of my favorite playgrounds - a light 3 lanes across where the far right lane ends a few hundred feet up. This one is by the car wash, so all...

    Nevermind-POV

Hose came off the turbo. Duh. That explains alot. Still doesn't explain why I have to adjust the valve all the time, but at least it's not broken. Original post: ------- I have the POV that Russ Bland is using. Got it from the nice folks in the UK. Every time the weather changes, I have to...

    Frierice

Okay, it's been done before a thousand times, but I've never really had an opportunity to hook one from a light. I've run plenty of imports, but never one that's done up in classic ricer style. Until last night.... On the way to class, looking for holes in traffic because I was running late...
