Leaky CAC tank neck

How to fix? Local welder said the neck is pressed in and too thin to weld. Should I pry it out and JB Weld it back in? This is the 3rd leaky tank I've gotten. Is it me?

find a diff welder....

it can be welded...GOOD welders can weld thin...

Heck, I learned on thin, have more trouble with thick....

what did you do with the other 2? I could give one a try, but I am a little scared to try on a otherwise "good" one. Just got welder 3 weeks ago for doing aluminum... Not claiming to be expert yet...but I am getting by and learning quickly.. If it was mine I would for sure try it...

What I did with the other 2: I sold one, the other I exchanged for the one that's in it now.

I guess I'll try to find another welder. It's puking antifreeze all over everything. It's been doing it for a while. Always figured it was the cap. Put a new cap on it today and it got a whole lot worse.

I'll let my fingers do the walkin' and see if I can find a decent welder.

Don't believe that "to thin to weld" BS. The guy who used to do welding for me could weld razor blades together...

It's weird because the guy had it for two weeks and finally just told me he couldn't fix it. Now his shop has some other business in there. I think he was just a loser.

I'll try another welder.
