I have removed all of my suspension and steering in the front end. I have all 6 bolts removed from the inner part of the CV joints, but they won't budge. Do any of you know how to get them out? Here is what I'm working with...

Re: What did you do to your SY/TY today? I mean get the axles out of the differential. I am replacing them. I took the 6 bolts off and neither side will budge.

I thought I would start a thread to document my progress on my 1987 S10 Blazer Ty-clone. I bought it a few months ago and am building it up to normal operating condition. I am a aircraft mechanic by trade, so I can get a little anal about some things and you may even see some safety wire...

Re: What did you do to your SY/TY today? Tore down the front end. I have all NEW parts for EVERYTHING (almost all moog stuff) that I took off including a F41 steering box and jeep steering shaft. I am going to wire wheel and paint the accessible areas of the frame tomorrow with "rust bullet"

Thanks guys. I should have been more specific as not to get some tok anxious. I am bringing it back to Cali next year and I'm not sure if I can pass smog with it. So I might do a V8 swap. It all depends on how much it will cost to get it to pass smog.

I may have to sell mine. Just curious how much they are worth. Mine has about 85k on it and is basically stock. Turbo is good. Any input would be appreciated!

Re: Flexalite Fan I have one big fan with no shroud that I have running all of the time with switch, so I can turn it off in the winter. It hasn't overheated all summer long. I also run a A2A intercooler in front of the radiator, with no AC. It may be kind of guetto, but it works and has less...

Re: I thought you guys would like to see this... That's it. Like I said, it is not really a Ty so don't get sad when you see it gutted with a stereo. It's a Jimmy with a body kit. It has a regular 2.8 in it.

Yeah it has a 2.8l. Just the body kit really, it was made for stereo competition.

I was at my local stereo shop looking for an amp. I pulled up in my Ty and the guy working there said they had a Ty clone too. So here it is.,.

I was on Vicodin with my right arm in a sling. Don't hate. I actually parked the GMC close to the side so no one opens their door into it while it sits for a couple months.
