I can tell the difference between coolant and oil. It happened once yesterday, and has not happened sense. One puff of smoke right at startup and then nothing. I have a oil leak right where the turbo oil drain-line meets the oil pan, so it's hard to tell if I'm consuming oil from within.(new...

I couldn't find the turbo gasket either. I bought exhaust gasket material and made my own. It worked great.

I read somewhere that our trucks have a vette TB. So you might want to look at that gasket too!

I heard that it could also be the turbo seals. Is this true on these trucks?

Re: Anybody put LS3/7 and new 6-speed auto in Syclone? You might want to go with a L33 mated to a t56 (that's what I would do, of course I love manuals). LS series is so damned expensive. You can pick up a 325hp aluminum block L33 for a about $700... Just my .02

I am interested in building an engine to replace the one I have currently. What type of engine/heads do I need for use with all of the stock components? Do I need an LB4 or a ZR9? Will others work as well?

So today I started up my truck, and for the first time ever, there was a puff of white smoke (not steam) from the exaust. Which I know means burning oil.:( My question is... How can I tell if it is coming from the turbo or the valves?

By valence do you mean a air dam? Or a bumper cover? I agree that it looks like its missing something under the bumper, and it is. These trucks originally cane with a air dam. I mentioned on the first post that I will be getting an air dam. I think a bumper cover would look out of place...

I replaced the FPR today and gave her a bath. So I took her for a cruise and took these pics... ...Tell me what you guys think. (I will be getting the rust dealt with and a new air dam for the front when I get to the body work but for right now I'm getting all the mechanical fixed up)

So I found out my fuel pressure regulator is bad. So I bought a stock replacement at auto zone. I also ordered a F41 steering box (2.5 lock to lock), and a new rag joint to replace the demolished one. I am going to try and get it all in next week so I can have a little fun in it before I have...
