really? donations looking for 1,000,000? did i read that right? is a forum creator trying to never have to work again?

dude. let the forums go to shit for all i care. i'll start my own for 30 bucks a month. really? are you serious? 1,000,000.

shit if you get that goal i guess you won't ever be in a syty again.. probably be in a lambo

FYI, donations are not used for anyones personal use or to line anyone's pocket. No one is getting paid to run this place or mod/admin it.....but keeping this site active does cost money. This forum is free. There is no fee to join and post. Donations are welcomed by those who want to give it. Those who dont, fine, its no big deal you dont have to...those who do donate get some added benefits with their account. If you dont like it here, then you dont have to be here. Stop using the classifieds and stop coming here for information. :2cents:

The word "ungrateful" comes to mind when I see posts like this.

I figured seeing this one more time couldn't hurt.

Keeping a forum functioning and active is no easy task. From the constant software tweaking, to database management, to settling disputes (public and private) to simply pruning useless/duplicate/spam posts to keep the forum organized and useful; there's always something that needs to be done. And all of the Admins/Mods have day jobs, lives and families, making time all that more valuable.

In case you missed it, none of us get paid for this. We do it because it's our way to give back to the community. As stated, the money to keep this site running is purely by donation, and that's exactly what it's for. To keep this site running.

Seriously? If you don't feel you've gotten any use out of the site and it's not worth donating to keep it alive and functioning, good luck finding help fixing your truck in the future.

Can I take a guess? OK I will do it anyway. I bet you voted for B.O., do to the fact that 1 little posting can make you act like that. You need to be ban and charge 3 X the going rate for repairs and parts.

Surely there will be some government social program popping up next year to address poor social sites such as ours... We dont need to raise money via donations, we can just sit back and wait for the government to support our needs.

Hey ,I donated. $10.00 shouldn't break anybodys banks, especially owning one of these trucks anyways. Do I get my name in green now? C'mon open up the pockets a bit, this site is worth a few bucks just for the entertainment alone. Not to mention actually helping owners with their vehicles.

Update for those have donated or thinking about it. The 1 mil mark has been changed to $5000. A good point was brought up that if we can actually see the % rise with the donations, it would show that the donations being made is making a visible difference.

Does the $5000 mean anything? No, it was the first number that I threw out. But now its an obtainable goal and you can see now that instead of 0%, we are at 2%.

But please, dont read to deep... it wasnt changed to appease vettandtyphoon. What I wrote above still holds true. :fist:



BTW, Keith already bought the Lambo on the previous forum version. He's hoping with this version and its new features to purchase a ZR1.
