I take it Scanmaster will not have datalogging capabilities? I have MPSI, which there was a GP on them a few years ago, and it is a plug-n-go. It also displays all of the values that DM and Diacom displays. I think I paid $75 for it. The only time I use it is for a quick reading of some values. I mostly use DM, or Diacom for the Datalogging capabilities for WOT runs.

I wonder if they still make MPSI?

The unit stores Min O2 and max knock retard from a WOT run along
with the respective MPH's that they occurred.

'datalogging' and 'downloading' are features planned for the OBD-2 stuff.
That feature expansion is currently on hold.

Just waiting on Bob. He said his schedule is kinda full at the moment. That was on June 6. I'll periodically check with him, to see what he has going.

Later,

Got a recent email from Bob and he doesn't look too hyped up to
do this , oh well. I'll keep bugging him though.

Still in the planning stages unfortunately. If I get something
running, I'll drop you a line.

No problem checking back from time to time, it keeps
things fresh in my mind....

Hi Bob,
Any interest in this lately? Let me know if your still thinking about it, and when you think we could get this off the ground. I still get several emails from people that would like to see this become available.
Appreciate your time.

Yeah, well we've been saying the same thing for like 4 years now.

Ron Gregory's had one working for 2-3 years, and is just lagging on making it into production. His definitely has ScanMaster beat for functions... now if he'd just follow through.

We will just beat Ron with a wet noodle........ every now and then everyone - including Ron needs a good beating...

Rons box - the one to monitor the engine has been around for a while - but I remember him having problems finding someone to make it......

Maybe someone can step up and bring some money to the table to make it....

Re: Scanmaster SYTY

Seeing as this thread is 5 years old, I guess the idea is dead.

Too bad...I loved the Scanmasters in my Buick TR's. A great device, and I feel blind w/o it in my new Sy (Sy noob here)!

Re: Scanmaster SYTY

Ive never heard of it. I have recently been thinking how nice it would be to have a small programmable display thats fed from the ALDL. If it would work in conjunction with TunerPro that would be awesome. If I could choose any two or three items from the dash of TunerPro to display on a small device that would be awesome.

Here's the Buick TR version:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Scan...006QQitemZ160077672441QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

They make them for several other cars, including the STi, which I didn't know (I have an STi, so I might get one for it!).

It's an extremely nice little piece, mainly because it's so small (~4"x3"x0.8"), and one has constant access to all the ECM's data, w/o some bulky scan tool device.

I'll shoot him an email and see what he says...
