Click here to see 3 wheel burnout marks from a customers Syclone. They are the short ones at the back of the pic. What part of the tuning process is that?

Here is a summary of a day at the track. I thought one or two passes is all you need to establish the power that the truck is making? Do other people really need to drive it? How many people had a ride in it?

Hmmmm...I'm sure the owner of this truck is wondering the same thing...

This is something that I just kinda put together with the help of some concerned syty.net members...

Let's see how long it takes the corrupted admins to delete this one...I can do this all day...the truth will be heard

Obviously this is getting way out of hand.

Man, for those of you who missed the little gathering at RR on Sunday you missed a BAD ASS syclone. Motherfucker ran an 11.20 out of tune.
Of course I had to drive it a little. Who all took a ride? What did ya think?

I especially like roasting all 4 tires off the line then getting up to 80 mph in like a few seconds.

I also obtained a large erection from this Syclone. CANT WAIT FOR THE FUCKING TY TO BE DONE!!!! HEADS AND BLOCK COME THIS WEEK!

This is the original post of the Rockford Racing website from February of the beginning of this year. Did I drive this truck? Yes? But did I embellish? of course!

RR was getting the sy prepared to go to the drag strip and was tuning the DFI. The truck had recently gotten dropped off and I was out at the shop preparing for a picnic we were going to have.

Guy asked if I could drive while he was datalogging DFI. They were going to the track the next day I think. So he did some drivability tuning and we also made a couple low boost launches. Even at low boost this truck was violent as sh*t. It is going to be a monster when it is finished.

So did I beat on it? Hell no. Did anyone else ride in it with me besides Guy? No, but I can sure as hell tease my v8 buddies. Did I enjoy the one chance I had to get to help RR tune a badass syclone? F$ck yeah!

This customer specifically asked asked RR to tune it and take it to the track to see how much improvement they could get with the new Speedpro. I think after RR got it they just realized it wasnt very fair to compare an untuned to DFI to a tuned Speedpro.

So in conclusion, try not to take things out of context. It amazes me someone would take all the energy to search through BB archives from February of this year, save it, post it, and try to make it an issue, when you you could have done is dropped a 10 word email to RR or myself to ask about it.

As I said before, the great thing about the syty community is that we all have eachothers back for the most part. Its crap like this that makes people want to leave. Luckily some of us love the trucks.

His truck came up recently, doesn't surprise me. Words out of context? What kinda performance baselining includes doing a bunch of 3 wheel burn outs? Couldn't get a couple runs and get MPH numbers for what kind of HP it made? He had track runs done before anyways.

Maybe I am mistaken but I always thought the BB was here to help people, not hurt them. There is such a negative attitude with people or shops or trucks or claims on the board sometimes. It wasn't meant for that.

The customer wanted it tuned. Like I said earlier, the truck was violent fast. Stock tires with some low boost launches could easily make tires chirp. And honestly, there are so many burnout marks from trucks and cars at RR in the lot, that you wouldnt be able to determine whose was what, or whether they made any at all.

I dont know when the choice was made to go SP, but he asked RR to tune it with DFI. I think b4 he had ran a best of 12.2x. After a little tuning it went to mid 11's or something.

I'm sorry but I'd have to object here, I think that this kind of information SHOULD be brought to light. Ok I understand BASELINING and TUNING are required.

Based on the FIASCO that was generated BY RR over the POLY MOTOR MOUNTS, (namely taking peoples $$$$ immediately and NOT returning a product for MONTHS I'm not overly impressed with Rockford Racecraft myself.

What was so unfair? I think it's unfair to delete the posts. To me that sounds like you were being a bit evasive to some curious Syty enthusiasts. The only BS was someone mysteriously still having supermoderator powers and deleting posts (this wasn't the first; we know about the others).

What if letting owners know about what is going on at a shop is good information for them? I know of several close friends that would have saved THOUSANDS of dollars if they had such information when they were making a decision. No slander, no claims, no attitude implied here, just cold cash. Thousands of dollars. Hours and hours of labor, their own, their friends, and paid labor for other work. Think about it. This isn't one or two people, there seems to be a crowd of people with a common dissatisfaction.

Just as I said earlier, No. If anything I chirped the tires. I can embellish about how it feels for christs sake. I doubt if there even is any awd burnout marks in the lot.

I am not a spokesperson for RR, although it might seem like I could be sometimes:wink:. I used to be up there all the time trying to help out with what I could. This was b4 i moved to WI.

And as far as the motor mounts...those things were awesome quality. They took long because they had to fill the quota b4 they got them started. Being a syty owner you should realize that things jsut take time. Look at PTE's combo, or Dequicks Group purchases. Sh*t, I just got my IC/radiator package two months ago from the IC group purchase. Thats over a year ago. I didnt bitch once. Stuff like that just takes time. Noone else wants to get the out to the customer more than who is making them.

Was I wrong in trying to cover up the original posts? Of course. I had no idea it was going to be something of this magnitude.

Helping RR tune the truck...To me it was something very small, not wrong at all. Its not like I was joy riding around the truck. If anyone should be worried about it, that should be the customer, not someone else. If he doesnt care, why the hell should anyone else.

Doing as much business as people do, you will have some satisfied customers, and some unsatisfied customers. Thats the way it goes.

I already posted what happened. I am done. If anyone should have a bit of curiosity it should be the customer, which has probably already gotten what he needs to know. I dont have the time to deal with this crap.

I guess you must have been doing more of that 'embellishing' when you were pointing them out to me and Jerry. That was the whole point of us walking down to all the tire tracks. I'm sure it was all a figment of our imagination.

I recall that vividly. Ivan had the webpage from hell up, documenting his side of it all. I believe the response to it was that it was all BS and the result of Guy not hiring Ivan on at RR after he opened shop.
