You're dangerously lean.

Assuming stock truck, check your fuel system. (Pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator)

Avoid boost until you fix it!

Assuming everything is working properly would'nt the truck be throwing out some codes if it was to running to lean. The fuel pressure is normal???

Re: First newbie Datamaster Run

your IA temps are pretty high as well, I bet if you got those a little lower some of that KR would go away.

Re: First newbie Datamaster Run

Any ideas on how to get the IA temps down? I am running a K&N cone filter in place of the stock air filter box.

High IC temp usually mean your IC pump is dead or you have air in the IC lines and the pump isn't circulating fluid..

Re: First newbie Datamaster Run

The IC pump is a new Johnson and its running. Could I still have air in line I changed the pump 2 months ago. Come to think of it. I found a lot of rust flakes in the old metal IC lines, when I replaced them with rubber hoses. I wonder if the system is clogged????

I've had a new johnson pump on a truck that ran, but would barely move water. If you use one,
you have to have a really clean system, with no kinks. Put a chunk of clear tube in line someplace, and you'll see what I mean.

Yes,

You have to in some cases burp the system free of air by cycling the ic pump on/off
Also check the plumbing of the ic lines to make sure there aren't any kinds or extreme bends that could be restricting flow.. also are you sure you hooked the ic lines up to the pump correctly?

Nope. O2 codes will only throw durong closed loop. And, you no longer have a stock system.
(Pitbull chip)

What do you consider "normal" as far as fuel pressure. Watch fuel pressure under WOT to see if it droops.

Also, your boost is way low, which might be affecting your fuel situation due to the way the Pitbull is programmed.

Pretty sure I set it up just like the stock system.

You think I should put the stock chip back in and do another datamaster run. I'll check the FP at WOT and see what I come up with.

Re: First newbie Datamaster Run

Well I just ran the truck. The intake temps went from 130 to 150. It seems The hottest reading were cruising at 30mph. I dont think its the intercooler system. The upper and lower heat exchangers are cool to the touch. The IC fluid is warm at best. I am at a loss here anybody have any ideas?

That'd at least let you know if it were chip related... and easy enough to do.

Re: First newbie Datamaster Run

I installed my stock chip the IA temps were around 110 degrees. I did a freeway run and got the boost up to 14.6 at one point. Went back home in traffic and my IA temps hovered around 130??? Any ideas??????

Re: First newbie Datamaster Run

Only way I had close to those temps would be thanks to my egr. It would raise my temps by 10 to sometimes 30 degrees if I was cruising for a while at the same rpm/mph which is why I deleted it. Take a look at your dm files and see how the temps are until your egr kicks in and see if it's the egr heating things up is my only guess..
