Hey George.....Any news on when the pieces will be in our grubby little hands? I have had more health probs since I last talked to you, but even so it looks like I will have everything back together soon and will be ready for the Tcase part. So....I guess what I am saying is that I am getting anxious !!

And for the record, write me down as one of the people who truly appreciate what you are doing to further the development of these vehicles. I know what is involved in making a new part such as this and I know the personal rewards for you are far less than what the average joe probably thinks. Keep up the good work George !!!

Thanks, Berville! I'm still working on it. I called Kevin this morning and half the shafts are off the lathe and when the rest of the materials come in he will machine the other half and then they will go to the "gear" department where the internal and external splines will be cut. Then all that's left will be heat treat and regrind. It is moving.

I'm pretty excited. :tup:

I was looking at my 700R4 sitting on the ground and saying to myself "I hope I don't have to put this thing back in the truck" ;)

I know you said you were going to post instructions on how to install these input shafts. Can you give me a heads up on any special tools needed so I can go buy them ahead of time??

Oh, and I too appreciate the work you do for the small community we have. I think it's great and if ever I'm able to return the favor, I'd be happy to do so :tup:

Darn it. I logged on to this GP alittle too late. Any word if you will stock these or run another GP in the near future?

They are making 17 shafts. 2 of them are "just in case something goes wrong shafts". So I will have possibly 2 extra. It just depends on if everything works out ok on the machining end(none get messed up during machining).

I talked to him today and it's very possible that they will be done by the end of the week. There is also a possibility that I will have 18 units if all goes unscathed. Tomorrow I will start following up and charging those who have given CC info and making invoices and contact if possible. I will then put up a master list. Hopefully, there will be enough that everyone will be happy. I know that sounds silly to attempt (make everyone happy) but I'm hoping to try. He wasn't happy with the way his cutters(shapers) were doing the inside splines so he's ordering a NEW tool for the process, so you guys will be getting internal splines done with a virgin cutter. They should be VERY accurate.

Sorry it's been so long. They are doing the little plastic "lube tubes" that go in the end and do the finish grind then they'll be done. They turned out really nice(I got to see them before they went to heat treat). To all the nay sayers concerned about the BS sidewall thickness issue....I've seen them, and there is NO issue.

I've been trying to get some projects finished up and haven't been answering much on here. I have to use my time as wisely as possible. The guys will tell you that have had this stuff made before that I'm not making anything on these things. I'm just making them available. I haven't charged many of the credit cards because I wanted to make sure that there would be enough to go around and barring any strange catastrophy there will be plenty. I will pay for all of them and then contact all of those interested parties that I haven't charged yet first. If any of them no longer want them, I'll move on. The reality is though that these will all be gobbled up.

I broke my Tcase apart today and got it ready for the new shaft. A couple hours after I get it in my dirty little hands, I will be back on the road !!
