Re: What did you do to your SY/TY today?
Finished installing a poly tank, New FSU, better battery hold-down, and 1/0 ground cable to the front.
The FSU ring could be much better if it was just a ring the size of the tabs "round". This would prevent the rubber from trying to pop out from the sides and prevent rotation of the FSU due to the lack of a recess for the alignment tabs. I should have taken some measurements and whipped up something on Solidworks.
If someone has a Waterjet you just need the inner diameter of the FSU and the diameter of the recess on the poly tank or measure bolt to bolt and add a bit. Then make the tab recess for FSU alignment and it'd be perfect! I was too busy to do it, maybe next time.
I'm missing the final image, but their are four threaded hooks that go to two plastic adjustable hold-down handle looking things. You can see two grounds in the 5th image. One big 1/0 going to the engine bay where the original neg is, and one small one going to the bolt in the back of the bumper.
I turned the key on and off three times (w/o starting) to prime the pump (I was too lazy to jump the pump ) and it started right up the first time! No tricks or anything! Fuel level looks good. I put @15Gal of gas in it and the arrow was near the top. Before it was stuck a bit lower than 1/2 way.
I love it when a plan comes together.

All I need to do tomorrow is put the cover back on the tank. Good times!
