My fuzzy memory seems to remember that it was a place called car wash warehouse in CA.

Only reference google came up with was this:

Automotive Marketing advantage, (818)-780-7600

With your OEM connections you should be able to find somebody in the area that deals daubert chemical.
GM gets in in drums, (I assume to dip it ). Nox-rust 121b.

Pretty sure 4 cans will do the entire frame. It comes out blacker than what's on the frame, but once you drive it a while and get some dust on it, it looks like the factory stuff. It actually kinda smooths itself out as time goes along.

I used a *lot* of the POR-15 Metal Ready to neutralize the rust before applying... this took up the most time.

Edit- also found this reference:

ECP Inc.

Burr Ridge, IL 60521
Toll free (USA & Canada) 1-800-323-3521 or 1-630-203-6800
Via Fax # 1-800-409-5195
web site: www.ecpinc.net

Product Description: Nox Rust X-121B

Edit again- this references ECP as well:

Daubert will sell direct 80.00 per case plus shipping I just dont need a case

Sell Jim (95xtreme) the rest of the case. It's handy stuff to have around, if you see a bad spot on the frame you can just shoot it quick.

I'll see if I can find the invoice for the original batch I had. They sold me 6 cans.

Edit - I knew I had mentioned this before:

I'm sure someone does. I can actually see myself having paint mixed to match shock bodies.
Cleaning those boots up in between the folds with brake cleaner is gonna be a pain.

I'm really contemplating getting the factory color on the core support and fenderwells matched. It's kind of a strange black.

Then there's the whole project of cleaning up the rear diff...

Which black are you trying to match?

The stock fenderwells and the core support are a brownish-greenish black. It's a really different thing.
The usual GM semi-gloss isn't the right thing... that's what my fenderwells are, and it's not "right".
If you look at a 100% stocker, you'll see the difference.

I realize this is fairly severely rectal.

Looked at the Sy today on the jack stands and thought to myself, "This really sucks to get laid off. Oh well, it could be worse. I could be jobless and starving." Then it came to me, I'm one of the lucky bastards who gets to own a Syclone.

Re: What did you do to your SY/TY today?

Installed the ZQ8 steering box + Moog Pitman arm. The steering is 100% improvement along with the steering shaft upgrade and GP steering shaft bushing I installed during the winter. Also installed a polished AC bracket my Dad polished some years ago and also had the Alternator bracket powder coated along with some othe Misc items. Also installed new front calipers, already installed some ceramic shoes over the winter, rear brake drums and shoes, hardware kit and wheel cylinders. Also added some smoke tail lights like Marty has which gives it a more modern look to the rear. Done the above the past three weeks.

pulled old steering box, then replaced it with the zq8 steering box. Put in FIVETODRIVE's steering shaft and labeled some more wires for possible removal, O and wasted about 4 cans of degreaser to clean it all up.
