i found the problem. it was a bad Zener shunt regulator and tech edge had the digagram for it, so hope it fixs it.

Yes dig, larson can break anything. now that he doesnt own a syclone, i dont get as many house calls.j/k(right mark) :lol:

I was going to have another O2 bung welded into my downpipe, but maybe replacing the stock o2 would work for WOT runs. Does the NTK have the same thread as the stock o2, for some reason I was thinking they have different threads (english/metric)?

Yes, the NTK has the same threads as stock. I *think* it is the same as a spark plug - 18mm.

Hey I'm getting better. I've recently learned that red is positive and black is negative, and I can't plug a 12 V lead into a 5 V input. They really need to make this stuff a little more user friendly, something along the lines of a gtech.

With the PLX and the Innovate units, they have outputs that mimic the stock 0-1 volt output that the stock narrow band sensor produces. You can splice the new 0-1 volt output from the wide band unit into the ECU wire where the old narrow band unit used to be.

I am not sure if the Tech Edge or the FJO have this capability.

Of course, I jinxed myself. Wasn't 2 days after I dogged Larson for
breaking things that I discovered I had a burned piston. So, now I get
to build that short block that's been sitting in the corner for 3 years...

Techedge had a wiring diagram for the PLX? Hmm...

Damn, I seriously never thought it'd happen to your truck, but I guess you were pushing the limits for a few years so anything's possible.

so someone tell me why the techedge is being used more? is it just what people are using or is there a reason no ones popping up with plx stories?

I guess it figures. I've been running this thing at the track for 10 years,
and pushing the limits of where the chip can go. It was really only a matter
of time before something let go.

One thing's for sure... the only acceptible KR value at 22+ psi with stock
pistons is 0. Anything more than that will break parts. Might get lucky for
a little while, but it won't last.

Like Brett said, now I get to build. I'm already shopping around for TRWs,
Eagles and other short block parts. Not really sure what I'll do for heads,
but I'm leaning towards modifying a set of Vortecs so they fit the the
stock manifold. (rather than the other way around, like everybody else
does) Either that, or I'll doctor up some L35s. I'll stick with the 20G for
a while; I like the fact that I can get it to spool up nice. A mid-low 11 sec
20g truck would be cool.

Gonna take a while to get the parts together, and get them treated/coated
etc. So, I'll either have to pilot the Buick this year or just sit it out. Darn.
