Wbo2 LC-1

I've noticed quite a few people using the innovate LC-1 Wb02. What I can't figure out is if you guys are using the real time display like I have in the gauge pod...??? Since I use this display all but one of my connections are used. Meaning I still have the yellow analog out wire available. Everything else is grounded or connected to the pod display.

I also have the stock 02 sensor still installed, untouched and working. A second bung was welded to my downpipe so my LC-1 02 sensor is completely separate from the still functioning stock 02.

So the question is, will connecting my final analog out to the F14 give me AFR? What about the B9, is it necessary? I don't wanna lose my display pod or fry my ECM.

Here's what a write up on code59 says. Only mentions F14 connection for LC1.

"....and now the LM-1/LC-1 is ready to work with Code59. Make sure that the output you programmed is the one going to F14 on the ECM." And thats it...?

thx

Re: Wbo2 LC-1

Mine is as so
green and white=B9
Yellow=F14
Brown=opposite of F14

I have the XD-16 gauge and do NOT use the stock narrow band. With code59, it will use the WB data for calculations wired this way.

uh oh...well this is what I'm operating off of right now:

Re: Wbo2 LC-1

:lol:Yep, that's how mine is wired. It is the 14 pin on the opposite side of the F side. I followed the directions I was given. Seemed to work OK. Is this bad?

T, who or where'd ya get the directions? All i've got is the innovate manuals. Not even a wiring diagram from those a-holes.

Dig, where is your right up on the LC-1 I've heard/read about? Does it still exist? ANyboody else/?

This is the ECM doc I'm using...

Oh... I see what's going on. You're using the narrowband simulation output to replace your stock o2 signal.
That's what's in E14.

In this diagram, splice into the yellow and run that to F14 and your gauge.
Splice into your white wire, and run that to B9.

Don't connect your blue (heater ground) anywhere near the ECM or your white wire ground. I generally use the firewall or one of the metal dash brackets for this. They mean it when they say to separate these in the manual.

If you're not keeping your stock o2 in place, run brown to the E14 pin. I generally avoid doing this, personally, and run both the WB and the stock o2. The simulations tend to be flaky.

This was what I originally wrote up.

Thanks Dig, I'll wire it up that way and see what happens. :tup: Time to :git: Hope to have some good bins created soon!

Negative effects?

For the record, I'm wired up the same as TYTILIDIE, all appears to be well.

In doing my research and all the posts I've been reading from way back...a lot of people couldn't get the desired results you both seem to be seeing. Could have been any reason really, not hooked up right, a problem with a piece of hardware? Glad you guys got it working, i know I'm excited to see mine in action. BTW I've only got 6 wires, my lc-1 seems to be missing the green one T has...innovate says there are two different lc-1 out there. Older ones have the 7th analog ground. :dunno:

Poor driveability, usually. It's not so much of an issue in $59, as most folks are running open-loop or in WB-closed loop. It's more of a problem with stock or stock-style systems.

I like having the stock o2 in there as a 'sanity check' for the wideband. If wideband data is doing something unexpected, see what narrowband is doing. If they generally agree, then it's probably real. If they don't, then you have to suspect one or the other is lying to you, and find out why,

Do yourself a favor... go slow. Good tunes evolve over time, you can't really force one into existence.

I have #689 operational again, so I'll be able to go through the whole process on the tuning blog.
