IIRC. That "idiot" no longer owns the truck. He committed suicide and his family sold it to the guy who is selling it now.

we all know the story kys10, wtf should I feel bad about calling him an idiot? I bet 90% of the people on
here knew which truck I was talking about from the title.
ya not the same owner, that pos was gonna part it out cause it was about to get repo'ed.
I felt bad for the guy at first when everybody was bashing him, but then he said that part out bs.

I think this a bad subject to keep brining up over and over the young man was a soldier and had issues that should have been noticed by some one. Instead we gave him shit and everyone knows what happened after that. IMO just leave it alone stop commenting about it he did what some others never do for their country.

Not saying you should feel bad. But I have to agree with 91GT. Regardless of if he made some questionable choices while he owned his Ty, at some point some respect has to be given. Admittedly, I'm biased because of this subject because I'm also in the military. I just hate to see someone bashed because of something a trivial as a YouTube video when their service to their country ultimately cost them so much.

Service to country did not cost him anything!!! He did not die in combat or military operations.....he cowardly took his OWN life (aka suicide).

Do I condone it constantly surfacing on this forum; no, but please do not attribute his cessation of life in any way to the military or military-related service. I served my time and retired so I am not talking off the cuff. I personally knew soldiers who willingly engaged in conflict and died honourably. The previous owner of this Ty did neither.

Ok, I am done ranting ;).

Please don't misunderstand me. I do not condone at all his actions to take his own life. But it's not an isolated problem in today's military and I've known people who have gone the same way. Again, I don't agree with it. But having witnessed people go through the mental termoil that would cause them to do such a thing, I can't help but feel sorry for him.

Edit- Again, I'm biased on the subject. I'm sure some of you guys have opinions that differ from mine and that's fine. This isn't a subject that needs to be argued about.

I agree with you on a few things - cowardly? yes. dishonorable? yes.
Do I condone or think that service members should be glorified for taking their own life? Absolutely not, I don't even think that they should get service honors at their burial.

(Granted I didn't know the guy and don't know why he took his life) How can you say that his situation isn't in any way military-related?

Do you know what the suicide rate among us service members is compared to civilians???? How can it not be service-related? Pure coincidence? Are you implying that our services are comprised of cowards?

I'm not trying to attack your opinion. I just don't understand your logic, especially from a fellow veteran who has lost brothers.

IMO, this guy could be knocked for mistreating a rare color Typhoon, we really don't know anything else about him. If he parted it, torched it, whatever, who really gives a shit at this point? I don't know the circumstances around his untimely death, nor does anyone else here! The biggest victim here is the child he had that will never know their father, all else is meaningless, period!

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder has a lot to answer for. Instead of berating the dead guy for decisions he made that none of us can possibly understand and that he can't respond to, may I suggest the topic remains the state of the truck and the deal on eBay rather than uninformed speculation and condemnation of a tragic young man's departure.

Otherwise yes, lock it.
