Well technically Todd and I are also in your area (Indiana), and at least 50% of our trucks run  . I think Gerber is on a 50% rate as well with his two Typhoon's.

I think my truck would run even better (maybe 130%) if someone spent more time in their fabrication shop, and I could bring up the group average to maybe 70%

Aren't there 3 Ty's in Indy on the board, and not a one of the runs. There was that one guy I met at Todds during mockup that has a black/black thats in pieces like mine is. Forget his name though. However, the 2 Sy's I know of are both running. There is a guy named Josh that has visits the board every once in a while that has a super clean Sy with 44k miles on it, PTE kit, etc. He lives about 2 minutes from me. So in central IN, 3 Tys on the board, and not a one of them runs, and 2 Sys, but both of them do run.

well, in northern nj.. every sy/ty that I know of, runs.

both my sy and ty runs, (even though sy is in pieces)
tim's ty runs
derek's ty runs
the green/green around here runs
the white/white around here runs
black/black around here runs

there are more in the area, i just never see them or can never get them to stop to talk to them.

hell I only know of 1 syclone in my area that doesn't run, and i've never seen it.. supposedly its owned by a tech at a local GM dealership, the machine shop that cleaned up the heads for my pickup was building a motor for the truck, supposedly the 3rd one that has been in it.
the only time trucks in NJ break is when there's a meet :rotf:

Since Ive owned 2 trucks, I think there has maybe been once or twice that the trucks are in driving condition at the same time.... and it only lasted a few days at most.

Usually doesnt matter which, but one is always being worked on, while the other driveable.

I don't know if that is a good thing or bad...

would I be pissed 24/7 because I always have one that doesn't work, or would I be thrilled at always having one that does work?

is the glass half empty or full on that one?

That must be why my black Ty was such a good truck to me. The red / gray heap was spread across the garage the whole time I was driving 'ol reliable.

I wont let both trucks be down at the same time. I need to have at least 1 backup vehicle at all times just in case of emergency of sorts.
Ever since I added a Ty to the collection, I stopped relying on the Sy to be running all the time, so it spends most of its time now on jackstands and only becomes driveable when big meets come up, like Miami in 2 weeks.

I never rely on the Sy to be driveable at any time, even when it is driveable :rotf:

Everybody will be inside cold, wrapped in blankets not worried one bit about trucks as "Hell would have frozen over!"

Mike, It would be nice to see you get a Sy/Ty. My truck runs just fine and I can get all the 60' times and recording I want, its just that after 60 foot and 2nd gear it just revs up in the rest of the gears  . So At least it still has rev, 1st and 2nd so I can pull it back and forth into the garage when I need to. Hope you do get a truck before long though.
