Didn't someone get a 13.0 out of a stock Sy in a mag article?
I'd be curious to see what a stock STI will run after 14 years.
I know people scream about the reliability, but when you factor in the abuse, modifications, and the power they make, it's not really that bad IMO.

Yea, it was Mike Campbell, on the way back from the drive through strip club. We were both surprised that i pulled away from him. I don't know if he was running lower boost than he did for his best 12 sec. time....but i was still shocked.
dont i have a vid of this. by the way mikes sti is a quick car for stock. i would not mind beating on it every day. cool fun car but boy is that rev hard to find, when you have been drinking. lol

I had an ATR inlet system,180 thermostat,msd6A, extra radiator, pitbull chip,fuel pump, afpr, catback. Stock turbo, stock converter & so-on. My 60 ft was not that great I ran a 1.71.
& ran 12.29 @108

I was wondering where that burning sensation on my ears was coming from, now I know the source :lol: ! Yup when I'm out in "cruise mode" vs. "race mode", I run my Ultimate chip on T1 16 psi. Which I discovered back in August is good for 13.2 in the 1320. When I am in "race mode" it's T2 or T3 and 20 psi plus a few gallons of paint thinner. My 12.5 passes at Pittsburgh were on the T2 setting. My 12.4 passes at my home track this summer were on T3. I NEVER run higher boost than what my octane will support. Stunts like that cost people motors...
It was a bummer to get walked by you on the highway. However, I still stand firmly by my credo
All joking aside, a STOCK syty would have to be running 100% to take a "u r a bus" at the strip or on the street from a dig. Even then, it would be close race. The "competition" has narrowed the gap quite a bit over the past few years. It's getting much harder to claim "street supremacy" these days.
The "Zero to 60 in 4.6 seconds. In the rain" magazine article mentioned earlier went on to quote a 0 to 60 time of 4.3 seconds on dry pavement for the syclone.

Chris's Ty is bone stock and you wont find another one nicer or closer to showroom floor stock. Our Ty ran 13.8's that day and was off at least 3 mph from normal all day.
What are your 1/8th mile times Renz? I ran a 8.52 in our bone stock Ty...Jimmy is my witness.

Your car is stock? It runs good! Ive seen scooby's running at the track and ive never seen a stock one run a 8.40! I always see them running 8.80's - 8.90's. :dunno:
