Wouldn't the spark plugs and gaps be different on the Sonoma GT's normally aspirated hi-po CPI 4.3?
I wouldn't know! But I do know that I did change the plugs this weekend to the 4's seems to run fine.
Also I talked to my best friend who is a mechanic at Toyota and he told me the IX plugs were good for 120,000 miles, no real hp gains, and that they are starting to come stock in the newer Toyota's.
I also asked him (since he's a mechanic and no else could tell me...) about what's it mean to run with a colder plug, his response was that plugs have a cold to hot operating range, and running with a hot plug can lead to run on or dieseling because it tends to burn everything in the chamber, and the only time I would want to run hot is if I was burning oil (things to that effect). He also said that the best plug for any vehicle, is the one recommended by the manf.
