And some general clean-up, wire loom, etc..

Re: Photoshopped picture?

soooo when do we get see this thing in person

Anytime you want.. You know the address..

I've thought about having a meet/wrench session but its getting pretty late in the season and the weather will be getting nasty before you know it.. I'm not sure what kind of turn-out we would get at this point.

Also, I'm not sure how much longer it will be in 1 piece.. I'm itching to throw this 80e and AWD case in..

Re: Photoshopped picture?

So I finally worked up the nerve to kinda get on it.. I'm still running a very conservative tune. Very mild timing, kinda rich fueling and just 5lbs of base boost.. This was not a boosted launch.. Just stepping on it(well ~90%) off the line..

0-60_4.84_seconds_2_kids_and_tools_in_car.JPG

0-60 took 4.8 seconds.. I held it till 70 then let off. I'm scared to hold it to the floor for the 1-2 shift. I'm not so sure the old 60e will take it.. I suppose if it took this than it would probably take another 10% throttle & 1000 RPM...

I'm not getting any knock here and as far as I can tell everything else is looking OK as well.

I'm thinking about trying slightly more aggressive timing, re-adjusting my main VE table and seeing what happens. If that works out I'll plumb in the boost solenoid and try more than 5lbs of boost..

Re: Photoshopped picture?

So I've been working on the tune some more and I am at the point where I have entirely too much power for 2wd... So....

Re: Photoshopped picture?

So I ordered some end-mills for milling aluminum and took a shot at making an engine plate with my CNC machine...

I am more than happy with the way it came out and also how well my home made machine did carving out the alum..

Re: Photoshopped picture?

Time to ditch the 60e and install the 80e, AWD case, and Coan converter..

Out with the old:

Nice. Been a while since I saw this - can't wait to see the finished product!

What converter is that?

It's a Coan. I picked it up from a board member here. Its a higher stall than I wanted(~3200) but for the price I couldn't pass it up. It is brand new..

Re: Photoshopped picture?

I got my tranny cooler lines bent to shape. Hopefully they clear everything when I put the tranny into place..

I also drained the fluid so that I can install a new filter:

Re: Photoshopped picture?

When i did mine, I used 90* AN fittings direct into trans with the brass adpaters and still had to "Dimple" the floor a hair to clear the front one.

Well that sucks.. Mine probably won't clear then..

I'm getting a bit closer:

Do most of your run the torque bar with the 80e or do you leave it off? I planned to cut & lengthen it but if its not needed I'll just leave it off..??

Re: Photoshopped picture?

I had an extension plate that came with my Blake kit, so I used it and put the brace on.
