Put a new stealth 70 on and have no luck building boost. Pipes intercoolers and vacuum lines have been gone over throughly several times. Put back in the stock 02 sensor. Adjusted the wastgate rod.Checked the blowoff valve.Added more grounds to the relocated battery.Still no boost. using 57 # injectors .Datamaster files look normal maybe i'll post one. Any one have something off beat that kept there truck from making.boost?
Thanks Cheatham.

Re: No boost at all!!!!

all the piping is tight and I checked the wastegate seal. Its is almost like I have a problem with the computer like it changes something and dosent allow for boost to build.

Re: No boost at all!!!!

Just a couple of thoughts.

Have you checked to make sure your boost gauge works properly? Maybe you could verify with a mechanical one that it isn't building boost.

What do you mean by "the engine builds rpm and vacumn till 0 . then hits a brick wall and does nothing at all "? Does it not rev any further, cut out at 0psi or just not build any boost beyond that point?

You mentioned that you adjusted the wastegate arm. How much preload do you have on it?

When I did a turbo swap on my Spirit R/T, I didn't have the wastegate arm nearly as tight as it need to be. My car would build boost very slowly and only to a few psi. After I tighened the snot out of the rod, it would shoot up to and hold 20psi by 3k rpm.

With the wastegate solenoid disconnected, you should build boost to 7or so psi. If not, I'd look again at the wastegate rod preload.

Also, have you verified that the turbo isn't binding? I know it sounds stupid, but it just takes a minute to check.

Re: No boost at all!!!!

Yes that is correct. no boost. the rpm keeps climing but nothing for boost . I shortend the rod 8 turns the eyelet was well past the rod used some pliers to pull the rod over. I have no idea whats up..... Have to put it on DM and post it. been working.
Thanks for all your help fellas .

Re: No boost at all!!!!

The turbo spins freely? Have you checked this?

Are you still running a cat? I had a badly plugged cat (from running way rich for a long time) that kept me from building boost. All it takes is a bad kink or other large exhaust-side restriction to kill boost.

About the only other thing I can think of is a massive leak after the compressor, but a leak that big would be very obvious.

Re: No boost at all!!!!

sounds like a plugged exhaust or a leak in the intake piping, whether it be somewhere on the core, or in the piping.

Re: No boost at all!!!!

hello have you driven the truck? i haven't read anywhere through out this post where you have. with the truck in park with e-brake engaged try snaping the throttle (not wot just rev 2500-3500 rpm)and listen . do you hear the turbo spool up any ? when you had the turbo off did you place rags anywhere (stuffed into intercooler or down in exhaust manifold) i have seen stranger things.motor would run but rag would be enough retriction to keep thing screwy with turbo.

Re: No boost at all!!!!

to reply for danny here , the truck has been driven after each little change or tweek. you can here the normal exhaust and intake note of the turbo spooling up around the 2000 / above rpm mark . but no positive boost levels at any rpms . no noises from boost being sent out blow off valve and no whistling from loose a2a piping or cooler .

Re: No boost at all!!!!

Since everyone is commin’ up empty what if the wastegate butterfly is gone or not aligned correctly to the shaft?

Just thinkin’ out loud.
