BTW...I BARELY spent $800.00 .
$130-kit
$210-converter 2200
$20-book
$100-advice
$30-fluids
$200-parts not in kit ( didnt know at the time there was a master kit with all heavy duty parts)
$25-cleaners
$25-shop towels
$50-Misc. tools ( had to make ONE for the spring plate in the back of the case.

Man I would really love to do that as paying someone everytime to do something gets kinda old. I just dont have the time right now being a railroad employee. I did find a backyard mechanic with a good reputation that would only charge me 250 bucks labor then whatever parts I needed....not bad.
I was wondering if there are any "secrets" to pulling the trannys in syclones. Man I wanted to throw the wrench as far as I could today....very frustrating. Theres one bellhousing bolt that I still havent gotten out and spent over an hour on and thats the one by the or behind the distributor. I t probably doesnt help having a mouse trap of wires running everywhere and half of them I have no idea where they go..
The alternator post itself has 5 different things attached to it...?

If you do this and the tranny lasts 6 months you will be lucky. If you want it to last use 1 of the 4 people Sigo named

Yeah there are a few tips...on the bolt for the bar that goes to xfer case, use a gear wrench 9/16", to tell you the truth about the upper ones, mine were gone when I removed it. I would get a really long extension with a swivel socket. Not a swivel and a socket but a swivel socket and put a piece of paper towel in the connector to jam it so it doesnt fall off when you have to pull it out. Hope you took the xfer case off first cause you will need to lower the motor to get those upper bolts. Oh yeah, you may want to try to undo your exhaust cause it prevents you from lowering your motor. If you have the time to go through all that then you must have time to do your tranny. :D
