IMO it doesn't look the best, but I'm sure if they don't see any benefit from it after testing, it will get scrapped. (at least I hope so. :rotf) Good luck.

When it comes to aero that wing is going to have A ton of drag & slow the MPH down, if you insest that the truck needs A wing, I would go with A Nascar c.o.t. wing. I don't belive that the truck needs A wing at all, I have A hard time beliving that the rear wheels are spinning at top end, being that is is AWD. Just my .o2

Re: Mr Syclone Updates for 2009

A couple of runs will do a fine evaluation on this subject :D

All wings, spoilers or difuser creates drag, and the angle of attac is the way to bouth controll, minimise, and use the downforce/drag situation

Look at Bad A$$ when filmed from behind and look closely to the shute rope U will se its swingin wildly at some parts of track and even U can se the tail is wigeling side to side.

My personal thought is that the AWD situation is helped on front tire pulling truck forvard, to a power/ET/speed level but we have passed that point now.

Power output 35% front 65% rear and some softer tires at rear (tire groth) makes the rear want to pass front, and the front tires is actually enginebraking the speed contra the rear tires (due to tire groth) and this create a unstable situation in higher speed..

Thats why I think Ed´s idea with 2 different gearing in axles and have huge slicks in rear of his Sy was a dead end turn. and He did krasch??

BUT he tryed to think outside the box and no "Monkey se, monkey do"

Cudos :D

I'm not going to even try and understand or question some of the things because Mr. Syclone is way out of the normal league.

No not realy, we try to be observat and pay attension to how things acts AND reacts on changes done, and use the benefichially changes and work our way slowly to better results..

Think of it, Robert has been devotet to the Sy for almost 15 years and in the last 6 years the results have been amaising, he have been breathing, living, thinkin, dreaming, workin constand on his Sy over this15 year long period and just watched the action/reaction stuff. No wonder he´s the fastets Sy, he got the whole grip on this truck from engine, trans, gear, setup, and chassie. NO super engine guru or transmission wizz neither a tune man specialist involved in this Sy, Its a ONE MAN deal

Yes he have asked lots of Q to the best in all aerias, he have read about every thing around this, BUT he alone have desided what to do or the way to go..

Go this road he have walked, long time and total devotion and all the "greenies" U can spare.
Then and only then U can do what he has done..

We did serve U the "Poundcake recepie on allmost everything involved in this build, and he is serving U the manny ideas and tryes and even the results good or bad. so in much he have done ½ the work for ya all..

Ok, your point is noted..

BUT when the bed cover and the wing is set as should be, at height and length we are trying to predikt is best place, we gona make som testruns to se if this unit works as planed.. We comes back with pics and maybe videos on the whole build with wing.. and maybee that would be more of a "OK its better than expected when seen as a work in progres"??

Anny how IF it works as expected.... Wing stays.. if not, gone

Best way of determent this is in a wind tunnel, anny "sitting" on one???

Re: Mr Syclone Updates for 2009

Just bring it back to the USA so we can judge the wing in person.;)

YES would love to do that :D And in fact we were on the planing in doin so,

Then the economical crisis struck hard on us too, so the plans for this year is postponded, maybee next?

This years "NATS" was to early for us to come to :( because the freight shipp would have to go before some importent race for us here in scandinavia.. (had to ship out early in July and our season starts in end of may)
