Bolts for engine to mount to engine stand?

Hey gang,
today i assembled to engine stand i bought and i would like to mount my ty motor to the stand. Do I need any special bolts to mount the engine to the stand???

yep ...must be titanium 3/8 bolts.....if not you take a chance of them breaking and destroying your motor...























just kidding ..... standard grade 8 3/8 bolts. get some bigwashers for the heads to rest against the stand flange.

:rotf: Thats awsome I missed the whole bottom of your post and was thinking "he's out of his freaking mind!" I've never used any titanium bolts, and never had a problem. :rotf: Good one :tup:

Agreed, big washers on the stand side and make sure the bolts screw in the block far enough.

depends on the engine stand and how thick the flange to block is of your particular stand.
measure the thickness of the flange that the bolt goes thru and add 3/4 to it and it ain't going nowwhere..
