I am having issues with the brakes pushing through. I ordered a hydroboost kit from Jhon, "syclone0565" , I recall something about him saying he was shipping out but that was a week or so, and nothing yet. I'm hoping the kit will solve my creeping issues and get me some perfect launches every time instead of some occasional lucky times.

we had a vacuum pump and it worked great. sounds like we had the same kinda prob you are having. im not sure what a hydroboost kits is but we could prestage ours where we launch it and walk it in the stage beam and were ready to go.

btw your truck sounds great! wow 28 lbs! i dont see how you could ever lose a race with that set up and amount of boost :) congrats!

Did you ever start an account, and were you able to get the larger HD version? I still don't know if that really works out.

Not yet. I've been swamped with another project that basically has me working full time after I get home from working full time.

I'll try it sometime this weekend.

Now THAT was a tight race with two of the best AWD vehichles out there ! Not to mention the heavier truck.
Nicely done Dean ! Man those sounded tough too, giddy.
Time to get all the lightweight parts you can for the Sy. 2-300 lbs in composite parts could make you alot of street cash over time. Not to mention less wear and tear on the drivetrain......particularly witht he near 30 lbs of boost ! :crazyeye:
Cheers,Vinny

The Hydraboost brake setup will solve your problems with your brake issue.

Do you have any idea of what that Evo is supposed to run in the 1/4?

Yah vinny I'll look into making the truck lighter in the future, I still have to get rid of my stock brakes. I have the Hydroboost kit and Mike's gonna install it for me sometime this month I hope. That should answer your question V : )

Six I think that evo had some good mods and some very good profesional tunning, I would guess he is at mid 11's,

Can 't wait for my brakes upgrade and my meth kit to be installed and tuned. : )

take a look at this near stock evo running low 11

I own a Mustang AWD dyno. Run a lot of EVO's and Subbies on it. There are a few 500 plus HP cars here. But most can't make reliable runs at the track or on the street. I own three EVO's of my own. Nothing special. One makes a paltry 370 to the wheels on 100 and alky. Another 440 on 100 and alky. On a dynojet would add another 40-50 to what I really make. Got to have those big numbers! Also have four Syclones. One is fairly built. Need to dyno and burn some new chips for it. On 25 psi hope to put down 475-500. With the new converter should wipe most peoples asses at the street races. 1.40-1.50 60 fts. Used to race my original Syclone 15 years ago. Shit nothing could keep up or overcome their slow ass start. Same deal today. Cut a tight light, let the tranny shift and its over. Glad to see you kick some import ass. Even though I make most of my dyno money from the poor saps who attempt to modify their rides. Where my 12.00 consistent truck of yesteryear was fast enough then. Today you really need to be a 10 sec ride and have some adjustability built in just as your situation required. You are ever in my town stop by and dyno it!!

Nice info you put out, thanks. Jeez four syclones, I could hang with two but after that I'd have to shoot my self... :rotf:
Would love to throw my sy on your dyno, don't think I'll ever take it out to Vegas, but hey if I do!
