So on Saturday nights I tend to go out to the street races in camarillo, and hang out in the parking lot with some friends and shoot the shit for a couple of hours, and as usual some one usually comes by and looks over the syclone and tells me about thier desire to have one or thier friend use to have one story. I usaully can't get a race for any money, since very few want to run the syclone and the others that do want to much. "Give me 4 car lengths" is what I tend to hear.
Anyhow one of my friends goes searching the parking lot for a race against the sy, and keep in mind it looks to be about 100 cars at the getogether location. Well I see him walking back towards the truck with what looked like 8 to 10 guys behind him. As he gets closer I hear him explaining to the guy next to him, "see it's just a little pickup truck". We all chat with the guys I've never seen at the races before only to find out theyr from out of town, Bakersfield to be exact, hmmm that's a long way away to come out for some street racing I think to my self. This makes me suspicious that they may be ringers looking for some cash that they can't get from Bakersfield cause every one out thier knows not to run these guys.
They ask if I'm on bottle and I tell them no way, but I won't pop the hood for them, but I tell them if I win the race then I"ll pop the hood and if they find a bottle they don't have to pay up, they like that and agree to a $200.00 dollar race. They tell me they have a brand new Mitsubishi Evo. Geez brand new! hmmm ok, this will be some easy money I think to my self.
We meet at our local street to run, some commercial location that's all closed up for the weekends and a really wide street. They start pouring C-16 in thier car so I know thier going to be pushing some big boost. I just keep with my 91 octane with lead aditive and set the boost controller to 20lbs where it has been so far trouble free.
We line up after handing over our cash to the guy that holds it till the race is over, I spool it to 16lbs and turn on my lights for the flagger and he is allready at that time with his hands in the air just waiting on my headlights to go on, he drops his arms and were off, I spin all four and pull on the Evo for only 1/2 a car at best, well he misses his shift into second where I pull about another car on him, and I don't miss a shift at all :rotf:
we cross the finish line and he's still a car or car 1/2 back,
Wow I think to my self he was pretty damn close to me, he's fn fast. So after we pull over at the group of spectators he sais hey want to go again, "I missed 2nd" ok, sure I'll go. In the back of my head I realize if he's was that close and missed a shift then I got my work cut out for me, and by the way that aint no stock EVO at all.
So since I was running so close to a 1/4 tank I pulll out MY C-16 and filler her up with the whole 5 galons and proceed to load up the BS3 ECU with my other program and then I proceed to raise the boost to 28lbs, where my tunner said that's as far as I can go. I let the fuel run through the lines for a while at idle and tell they guy I'm ready to go.
So we line up again but this damn time I start to push through the brakes so at the point of the flager starting to raise his hands I'm letting up on the gas and loosing my boost for my launch, shit! So I start rebuilding and just as I'm probably at 5lbs they guy drops his arms and I have to go, but unfortanately now that Evo has jumped out a full car lenght on me, but it's so very nice to see that the Syclone's turbo gets spooled up and starts pulling like mad, and I see that I'm quickly comming up on this Evo and walking right on by well before the half way point of the 1/4 mile. I'm smilling knowing I'm now another $150.00 richer  So So all in all I'm up 350 bucks for the night.

By the way that Evo had a load of bolt ons, and some profesional tunning for the C-16 and 30lbs of boost, with 100% meth injection, it was the fastest car I've run against so far!
Sorry it's so longwinded
