Does anyone have any pics of the latest and greatest direct bolt on turbo for a syclone. The one that uses the stock down pipe?.I think cambell auto sells it also. Thanks guys.

Re: latest turbo

I know the stock down pipe is a restriction as well as the stock manifolds but most of us use them. I know there is a direct bolt turbo and that is what I want to use.

Re: latest turbo

we sell a cnc machined adaptor to allow for any T3/T4 turbo with 5 bolt turbine housing and wastegate to bolt up to the stock downpipe. From there it mostly depends on your budget and torque converter stall. Better heads with aftermarket springs, cam, etc can benefit from larger turbos and higher boost. If you are running pump gas you need something more efficient in the lower boost range. With meth or race gas you can run something efficient in the 20+psi range.. so there are alot of variables.

However i really like the 60-1 or GT61 turbo for stock motor daily driven trucks. Works extremely well from 15-25psi.

Re: latest turbo

Gains of 100+ hp can be achieved with the 60-1 and matching chip. I have seen several trucks make over 400 rwhp with them. A 2800 stall is required

I do have (3) of the 60-1 ball bearing turbos on special with smaller stg5 turbine that would work well with the stock torque converter/.

Run fine on stock injectors?

I think you may have just made my mind up on my next mods heh.

Re: latest turbo

yes on stock motors with less then 20psi. More boost and/or built motors will require more fuel be it alky injection or larger injectors.

Re: latest turbo

I had spoken to Nolan some time ago and they were offering a direct bolt turbo. Is it known as the big Kahuna? I think Mark had run in the 11.5 range. That is what I am looking to do. I had also been on RPM web page also.

Re: latest turbo

Whats the HP limit on it? You wouldnt happen to have a compressor map would you?
Would it be a good turbo to build on? I was considering GT35R but i like the ability to utilize my stock downpipe untill i can either fab/afford a new one.

Re: latest turbo

I am not sure of any of the specs. I am going to have to call Cambell Auto for the correct info. I had pics but lost them that is why I made this post.Thought some one may have the same turbo.

Re: latest turbo

I'm not sure what the specs are on the Big Kahuna, but the beauty of both the RPM and Campbell bolt on turbos are the flexability in turbine housing, turbine wheel and compressor trims. If someone wanted a T72 to bolt on their stock downpipe we could easily do it, although it wouldn't work too well. So you are not limited to just the Stg 1, 2 , or 3.

You would be making a good choice with either the RPM or Campbell turbos.

Re: latest turbo

What about wallers upgrade for the stock turbo? I just purchased this option because I wanted to retain the stock look with more power. His upgrade is a 57mm impeller with the wastegate ported.
