Re: Johnny Lightning Typhoon

it couldnt be repainted harmon... the logos are painted on and even with something as thin as a needle could not be reproduced by hand... somme very expensive equipment would be necessary... if you have one, look at the gmc truck logo in the back... you need a jewelers magnifier to see it well...let alone reproduce it exactly the same way.

For the labor involved to repaint them perfectly, its not worth the effort

Actually i have a modelers decal kit. I can print any image on these cool clear papers...and they install with water just like model decals...Then drill rivets out and take apart...paint it....then assemble them back. i can see someone making a bunch in a little bit of time. Anything can be Made profitable. Its all about the marketing.

And yes!....it does print that small. These could have been re-painted...thats why i asked about the bottom rivets or overspray....

I just got mine in the mail. They are totally legit. The motor is silver and the engine bay is painted along with the hinges....interior is flat...no overspray

Re: Johnny Lightning Typhoon

Ordered some black ones just now, hoping to stumble across the rest local. Just in case, does any one know of an online store who has the red and teal in stock?

I got mine today and I ordered on Wednesday.. fast delivery. I noticed on the bottom that the 8 digit serial on the underbody is the same as the teal trucks.

Is it the same as on the reds too? Is it more of a casting number than serial?

Either way, can't wait to get mine.

Reds have a different serial

Red grey: 300 9 DO 00

Black/ teal 329 9 DO 00

White grey 061 9 DO 00

WTF!!!!

That looks like an Aspen to me. Too bad we cant see the top of the card. In the upper right hand corner would be 'JL *' the '*' being a number. That number would represent the series number its in.

The Red/Grey is Series 2
The Teal/Grey is Series 3

The next Typhoon was suppose to be out in Series 5, but not sure what color...

Jimmy

EDIT: I dropped the seller a line to see what series it is from.

Wife: "What the hell is the big deal? It's the same ****ing toy only in different color.."

Me: "Shut up bitch!.:slap:...Now go make me a damn sandwich"

She has a point though:banghead:.....I have to have all of the same toys because they are different!

This is getting out of control and fast!
