I got my JL Red's and Teal's in the mail today. It surprised me on how different they were than the White/Gray ones I have. The Teal's all are rackless, the Red/Gray's all have the C5 5 spoke and roof rack.

Good to know we aren't the only town that you can't find JL's at Walmart and Walgreens. We used to have a sweet old school hobby shop that sold them, but they closed a couple years ago. :tdown:

Received my teal Tys today. The wheel/axle quality isn't nearly as good on these "forever 64" editions as they are on the white/gray regular JL "Muscle Cars". I know the retail on the "64"s is about a buck or 2 less than the other JL editions, but they look just as good. :tup:

I should have my black ones in a day or 2 and will post soon thereafter.

I think its cool that the JL Muscle Car series all come with a garage piece (ie: lifts, tool boxes, ramps, etc.)

Rumor is that the next Typhoon will be white/white and come with jackstands...;)

Anyone get the Teals but missed out on the Red/gray? I'd like to trade one-for-one. I must've been sleeping when the Teals were released. :(

i have a teal w/ a small crease on the top portion of the hard plastic of the encasement (came that way in the box :rant:) that i'd trade for a red/gray sans roof rack with non-C5 rims, or a red/gray with roof rack and C5 rims.

So far, that's true.

Well, Dave, I think that might work. That will still leave me with ONE rackless red. Or, I can give you two RACKED reds for one teal??

Mike: Sorry, I only one C5 Red (w/rack).

2 for 1 trade :rotf: I already have 5 racked reds. I don't want anymore of that style and color. It would be nice to have a rackless red, but unless I find them at a store I am not going to go out of my way to find the different variations. I bought 5 teals, so I figure I can sacrifice one of those. If you want to wait to look around for a teal to see if they more pop up, that is fine. I don't care one way or another.
