Re: Annual Miami Wrench Session

Hey I was thinking maybe you could drive my GN and ill drive the typhoon that way we have a back up ride if anything did happen which I highly doubt, but that way ill bring just my boy with me and have room for other things such as tools and clothes...The GN is mint and runs like new so it should be good the TY ive never drove that far so im not sure..

Maybe we can caravan down at the same time? I need to see what time I can leave and for how long I will be able to stay. For the life of me, I can't stop the oil return line from my turbo from leaking. I may order a new piece from RPM and install it before the drive.

Pick up Cheryl on the way.....

Lol, he'd have to stuff my resident Fiero owner(son) under the tonneau cover. He can drive my Ty,it's not as pretty as his truck but it's not got a built in vibrator like his Sy does :D j/k he's going to be sorely pissed after having tore his drivetrain apart only to find the vibration is from his tires

No strut compressor. Do American cars even have struts? Keep in mind I won't work on Asian imports, personally or in my business. I maybe able to borrow one for the weekend though.

ok no problem. yes, many american cars have struts (some since the 70's)

No worries, Im gonna try and get things fixed before I go, I just figured "if" there was easy access to one that Id wait, so no biggie.

Its tempting, but Im gonna be up in the Fort Pierce area by Tuesday. If I had more time Id stick around and catch the game, but I need to try and get back up to NJ by Thursday/Friday. Thanks though, I appreciate the thought.

I am hoping to catch some of the All-Star skills competition on Saturday though, so hopefully theres a TV around ;)

Alright..... Role call time. Post up if your going and bringing your truck.

My Sy will finally be in a Miami meet after missing the past two. Sucks to not have a truck for the Miami meets, though theres still plenty of fun stuff I get to drive ;) Also, this will be a bitter sweet drive, as I will be picking up and bringing Doug's Red/Red down to Gary for him to get sold. It'll be hard to watch it drive down the road knowing Doug isnt the one behind the wheel.

It'll be a 3 truck caravan for us... my Sy, Ian with his Sy and Doug's Red/Red. We'll be in probably around 8-9pm on Friday.

Re: Annual Miami Wrench Session

Just a FYI reminder as well. We are still planning to do lunch, but the menu has changed to Ribs and im sure other varieties of meat. The orig plan was lobster, but the economy hurts right now :(

We are asking for a minimum donation of $5 if you plan to stuff your face to help offset the price of food/drink. Ask anyone who has been to the past few meets or last years Miami meet....the food is damn good. There's nothing better than eating good BBQ with fresh greasy fingers after spinning wrenches and BSing about trucks.

Gary, is there any car shows on that weekend? I need to do some real driving.
