Re: Fan

The Taurus is a better fan, more flow and I think only 23 amps. Bottom line is if your cooling system is ok and this really is a flow problem.... that Flex A Lite may not be enough. If the proper fan requires more amps, then you need the correct fan control and fan.

Re: Fan

When you put the stock fan back on did you use the stock shroud? The stock fan won't work well without the stock shroud.

Re: Fan

Found the part problem, it was the heater core outlet plumbed into the water pump, I re-route it back to the radiator and it runs a lot cooler (160 hwy 165 City).
I guess it would make some sense, the water out from the heater core was bypassing the radiator and if the cooling system is marginal it cause to overheat.

Well I am happy that's fixed, now to the next problem.
With all that screwing around with the radiator, I must have damage the trans cooler line out of the radiator, dove it to Brooklyn this morning and trans fluid coming out from under the radiator.

Denny, what exactly was the cause?? I have my radiator by passed and the line from the heater core directly into my edelbrock pump and it's been running strong months now like that for me. Im just wondering why this could be your cause and if there is anything I should look out for or concider.

If you are runing cool, then you are ok.
In my case , I think its because I got all that shi*t infornt of the raidator. I didn't notice any overheating during the winter, only just when it got warmer. Then again I haven't dorve it much in the winter.
