Stay positive and hang in there man, I've never experienced a major injury but I'd imagine V nows what he's talking about.

Your gonna have to get some custom syty/subie art on your casts like V

Re: Everyone keep ERUE in your thoughts

yay for morphine!

everyone piled into my tiny ER room yesterday and we watched the xgames rally race together. that was pretty awesome with the exception of the ford cars wining. its great to have good friends.

theres a lot of healing to be done....had one surgery already. got an steel bar exoskeleton with screwes in my leg bones to hold it straight while they wait for the sweling to go down enough to actually try to screw all the bone pieces back together. not sure how my mobility will be long term but im hoping for the best.

got to get some new cars too..... totaled 3 cars in the last 3 days. i had just finished building a really hot little 4.3 with brodie top end for my typhoon and before i could install it, a tree fell on it and crushed it. then saturday in the wreck my wifes turbo XT limited was totaled. totaled my dads corola as well..... but noone is gonna miss that death trap. such a crappy little car i really feel luckie to be alive.

Re: Everyone keep ERUE in your thoughts

looks i may get to go home tomorrow. my crushed leg is fixed in the open position with a bunch of steel braces so im not even sure how im gonna get home much less get to nats. they said i might have to take the ambulance home. if i ride in the ambulance im gonna request they play me some clutch at full volume on the way home. lol

mabe i can remove the front seat of the white car, sit in the back seat, and put in an ottoman where the front seat was. hopefully that will allow the wife to drive me around for the next 3 months while i heal. i dont know what id do if i was stuck at home for 3 months and had to take the ambulance everytime i had a doctor or surgeon appointment.

so....sorry guys but i dont think the E85 syclone can make it to nats. i feel bad about missing the event with it being so close to me. iv been having so much fun racing the truck lately, sure woulld have been fun chasing you guys down the strip.

Re: Everyone keep ERUE in your thoughts

purchase lazyboy, install in back of syclone. get a raincoat just in case, cooler of beer and make for a good road trip.

We promise to move the truck around on occasion and have people come up and talk to you.

Better than sitting at home in the same lazy boy looking at the same walls for awhile.

Hope you feel and get better.

Think enclosed trailer with la-z-boy, 42" LCD, and beer fridge... only way to travel.

Hope the recovery goes well!

Glad to see you're posting. Thats seriously good news considering what you've been through. Wonder if there is a record for quickest forum post after near-death experience?!??!

I'm with the dig though, if you can round up a Lazy boy, and an enclosed trailer I'll find a way to come get you and drag you to nats in the next two days!

Best wishes on a speedy recovery, though in all seriousness!

Haven't you been told to avoid those head on collisions ? Get well soon. I just got back to work on the 14th of July after the crash we were in on the 20th of Dec 2008.

ERue,
When my husband had foot surgery I had to lay down the back seat of the Ty to stuff him in to get him home. If you don't do anything else when you get home, remember that elevation is your friend and will really help with keeping swelling down. 3 pillows high works best. Good luck with your healing!
