Re: Engine stumbling

Now that I think a bout it I put power to that terminal before. nothing happned. What type of relay is this thing is it a typical replacment. I know the 2 up by the fire wall. The one thats closer to the intake manifold has this weird splice connector on the yellow wire and looked out of place to me right from the start. Might be the AC relay or th FP. Can I plug in the other one?

If you hooked power to that jumper and the fuel pump does not kick on then the relay is not the problem. Because by applying 12v to this jumper bypasses the relay.

Try this test again and have someone listen at the back of your vehicle for the pump coming on.

If it does not run. Then make sure you have power and the ground is good at the tank for your fuel pump. If you do them your fuel pump is bad.

Re: Engine stumbling

Today was a great day to take truck out on road test. Truck is acting funny still. Really having a hard time pin point this one. turbo system builds approx 5 psi before stumbling. It will build some pressure, stumble and surge up to around 8-9 psi but really have not seen anything above 10psi. I was hoping to see the needle peg up to atleast 12-14 but it will not go. I have not made it past this issue and feel like those Inventor commercials with the cave man chiseling away at a large rock trying to make a perfect wheel.

I did notice that I had my Cruise assembly off. My sport machine vac line kit I had PLUGGED the CRUISE line for time being . Not knowing about the other larger hose It has been open the whole time. As soon as I found the open line I decided to put the cruise cont. vac. actuator on. Really I thought there would be a diffrence with the turbo, and spooling time and there was not.Truck is still sadly laggy. I took truck for ride after and it still has that stumble. drives fine, around 3k seems like right when maby the cam-lobe wants to kick in it just dont run right.

That thing checked out to be OK a while back.I cleaned up the screws that fasten it down and re-greased the item with special oxidizing cream
