After years of always wanting a typhoon, this past weekend I finally purchased one for myself. Typhoon #2274.

The story
I have been driving my first vechical for 8 years. 95 s10. I have owned 2 S10's and 1 blazer. I have always dreamed one day I would own a typhoon or syclone. My s10 has seen better days and it was time to get another vechical. My wife said I could get whatever I wanted. She had no idea what that meant to me. I immediately started looking for a typhoon to purchase. After locating one about 3 1/2 hours away, I told me wife were going on a road trip this weekend. She was a little hesitant when I told her what we were going to look at. But that didn't stop me. I now own my dream car!!! I can't take my eyes off of it either.

That's awesome man! Congrats on the purchase! I still love to look at my trucks even after all these years! :tup:

True I love looking at My Trucks as well. It amazes me how they still look cool 20 years later. These trucks were so ahead of there time back in the day. Suv's just now are on a level playing field with a Ty in looks, in my opinion. True Drivability wise theirs much better. But Not cool factor, and for around town fun they can't be beat!

Give it a few weeks and your new thread will say, this is a nightmare.

Congrats though, enjoy the ride it is like a roller coaster.

Great story. Congrats on the Typhoon. After having mine for 10 years I am kicking myself for letting it go. I live out my Typhoon addiction through this forum. I hope it meets your expectations, and more. And yes, we want pictures.

Thanks everyone! I will get some pics up tomorrow. I just got it street legal today. Inspection, registration. Also I was amazed on how comfertable it is to ride in.

i remember that feeling. congrats. you'll be surprised how many times you will forget its yours. you will come out of somewhere and say holy shit, theres a syclone. only to remember its your own black typhoon you are looking straight on at.

Awesome man congrats! I was the same way owning about 5-6 different s-10's until I finally got a Ty. I fell in love with the trucks since I was 16 and first discovered them. It took me till I was 29 to get one but I got one. I have had mine since Feb and yet to get it driving LOL. It will be ready by the end of the year hopefully. I know you are all the way up on the other side of Ft Worth but every year down in Austin they have a SYTY meet. Hopefully you can make it out next year.

One thing to think about, dont start modding it right away (making it faster). Its addictive, you change one thing then you must change something else, next thing you know you'll be affraid to drive it because you think something might break! Or it is just me?

that's every car ive ever owned. starts with exhaust- cold air intake. next thing you know its on jackstands because it got too fast haha

its why I bought a syclone and a typhoon- one is pretty stock and the other is the play toy

Here's some pics I took today.

The ty already has a couple tasteful mods that the previous owner did.
Ultimate chip, 3 bar map, Johnson intercooler, walbro fuel pump and adjustable fuel pressure regulator, 2800 stall converter, cold air intake, the engine and transmission was rebuilt 9k miles ago, 3 angle valve job on the heads, aftermarket boost and fuel pressure gauges, etc. The previous owner took care of it very well.

I will deffintaly start keeping an eye out for syty meet around, I would enjoy going to one of these. I have a lot to learn about these vechicals.
