I'd like to have the CF evo style hood and as far as having the extra duct, I'll just consider it an extra vent.... :D

I'm not too worried about hood style......but as long as (if its a cowl hood) the rise ain't TOO HIGH! Some sort of venting would be a PLUS!

Hey V, you deliver too?!

likewise.

if it looks good (not to ricy)
lighter
no leaking in the engine bay.

please give us a price on the 5 hoods, and we can all judge if we are ready for it.

Thanks

i'm already interested depending on the price...

maybe the airbox can be made out of plastic instead,
just to save on cost.

Okay, I'll get i touch with Dwayne and and come up with a preliminary design and price. Everyone, please be patient as this may take some time.

Thanks

I'm in for a hood for sure if we can get this going without too much delay. I'd prefer a 2" cowl, but just about any of the options are ok with me.

I'd be up for one as well if the wait isn't too long. I like the 1" or 2" cowl hoods.

Just to be clear, these can be had as pin on hoods, correct?

Add me to the list of buyers too (stock or Evo style).

Yes it is very do-able, but we all those interested need to come to some consensus on which hood style to settle on.

Remember we need at least 5 hoods to make it happen.

The choices again are:

1)Stock style
2)Reverse Cowl
3)Vented Stock Style
4)NACA Duct Stock & Vented Style

I push for what ever hood style wins out.

Is there a hood available to us that has a GN-esq. "cowl" to it?

I think that would look Schweet and diff compared to an everyday cowl that my grandma has as well :D

Although the low-profile myclone stylie is gooder too

If more than 5 people agree to this style, then it's a go.

FYI the hood I have is a Goodmark steel hood as Mike said. The scoop is like 2 1/8" high since VA state inspection wont allow anything over 2" and the inspection guy was being anal and flunked me. Came back later with a stock hood off a buds S truck (painted red at that) and passed [shrug].

Anyways, if measurements are needed from a Goodmark hood to help with a CF production just lemme know and I'll measure mine and let ya know the specifics.

I like the cowl, but can anyone throw up four pictures of what they would all look like, either from other cars or photoshopped? I tried following a couple links earlier in the thread and all I found was page not found errors and a distant shot of an evo that I really can't picture on a SyTy.

I'd like either a vented stock style or REVERSE COWL........Izzat the same style of hood as a 1970 El Camino SS 454 COWL HOOD?

Re: Carbon fiber hoods by CfxBodywerks - Again!!!

Well, I hate to say this, but I'm out. I was seriously pressed for time on this hood, as my existing CF hood had taken flight on the highway. Since the GP looked like it was going to take too long, I went looking for a more immediate answer.

The GOOD news is that I found a gentleman who was willing to make me a CF hood in the style of my choosing - stock, 2", 3", or 5" cowl. I went with the 3" liftoff, and the total including shipping came out to $420 (what are the odds? ;) ). I should have my hood by the middle of March, and will let you guys know how it turned out. If the quality is good, this could be a great direction to go, since the price is AWESOME. :)

Are we even close to getting a GP going here? Just curious as I'd like to get in on it but if it's not going to happen I'll just get a steel cowl hood. I just don't want to get a steel only to find out that I'd make the group one short of getting the gp going.
