Looks like a sweet project. I'd probably go with a 2500-2600 stall converter over an 1800 if it were me.

If you're looking for a cheap intercooler setup I've got a new one in a box I'm looking to sell. Its a 3" universal one. Let me know.

You going to intercool the Wynjammer?
I don't have much room for more air piping and intercooler. Keep up the pics, and thanks for serving our country.

The Al Martin "Wynjammer" setup only produces about 6-7 lbs worth. And it's a ceramic ball bearing design. Meaning.....you can run it's balls off for an hour, pull over, engine still running, and put your hand on the supercharger. Yes, I have done this! And it doesn't get any warmer than about 98 degree's! So there isn't a need for an cooler.

The Wynjammer Supercharge whole kit will be for sale next month. Engine & Headers back exhaust as well!

I'm going Turbo next month. I've got to locate a Turbo Header/Y Pipe combo for a single turbo setup. I'm going to do break in with aprox 14lbs then go up from there to find a sweet spot. But the turbo I'm going to start with is a Holset H1C in mint condition!

Oh, just ordered a Walbro 400lph fuel pump! The Walbro 255lph wanna be in the parts pic is going the way side!

Also, any input from those more knowledgeable, please message me w/ them! I'm not to informed on turbo's, not sure if this one will get me to my 500+ tq/hp at the wheel range.

Also, looking for a GM adjustable FPR to put on the intake! Otherwise I have to mod it.

Oh God!....No body kits! I want sports/muscle cars to know they got spanked by a work truck!

Just curious, cause I'm working on the Wynjammer setup. Just got the blower bolted on recently but needing to heal more. Can't drive yet. Working on a heat shield at air filter to capture cool air. It will be a big improvement for my setup, but w/o 4wd or AWD, more power is not worth it.

Re: 94 S10 "The Bastard Child"

Trying to get the Wynjammer belt lined up so I would quit breaking belts was A BITCH! I had to replace some hardware because I used headers and not the manifolds. I had to grind about 1/4 to 1/2 inch off the Alternator mounting bolt bracket, just to use a STRONGER bolt than what was included in the kit. I finally got mine all done, and now I'm bored, 7lbs isn't much, he makes a smaller pulley for 8lbs, but for a built block using 7.8:1 compression w/ MLS gaskets....yeah, that's not gonna cut the mustard!...

Al's TBI setup needed some tweeking also. The alternator needed to be setback cause the main serpentine belt kept rolling. But figured that I have a/c, & his kit comes w/ only one belt size. A/C belts are 2"+ longer than non, to ride properly on factory and blower idler. Got longer belt, and the blower bracket pulleys now sit in better positions. I called & asked him months ago, but he said the blower idler could be adjusted for a shorter belt. Didn't work. Also made longer bracket for air filter pipe support. But from what I've researched on Al's setup, it does run very cool, so we'll see. By the time I get this running, gas will be @ $5 a gallon, which will be about July?

Re: 94 S10 "The Bastard Child"

Yeah, I had a 97 Ford Aspire for a daily driver for a while. Got rear ended, bought the 02 Lancer you see in the pix. The Lancer says 24 city 35 highway....all I know is it get's damn good fuel mileage!...I deliver pizza's w/ it, and I bearly burn maybe 1/3 a tank on a half day shift, about 8 hours!...

But yeah, his kit's are nice and all for stock apps for just bolt on power. I really wouldn't consider his to be true power adder like a Turbo, or ATi Procharger, nothing like that, his kit's are seriously limited!

Re: 94 S10 "The Bastard Child"

any updates?

None yet. I contacted DTS2.net the guy is making me an entire Single Turbo setup, the Headers w/ Y Pipe to T3/T4 flange. I shipped him my turbo (Holset H1C for now, might go HX40 later down the road) to do the fab setup. But the whole kit will have all plumbing from the trubo to an intercooler (rather large ass intercooler, one he uses on the Twin Turbo Kit) back up to the intake. I MIGHT have to use a cowl hood, which I DON'T want to. But the Mercruiser intake sit's up kinda of high. and then I have to pipe a 5" coupler to a 3" for the piping, so it's probably gonna hit on the stock hood. The kit will also have an adjustable waste gate, and a recerculating blow off valve so keep it on the stealthy side, but after seeing the Intecooler he's using, thats gonna be hard to hide.

In the next week or so, I've got to sell my 06 Polaris Outlaw 500, it's been sitting for 3 years, jus gave it fresh fuel, fresh battery and fired up last night for a first in years. I'm going to start pulling the front end apart, pull the whole Wynjammer Supercharger off put it back in the original box it was shipped to me in. And rip the exhaust off, remove the engine and transmission. Drop the trans off at the shop to be built, sell the engine. Sell the JBA Shorty headers, and start get'n stuff put back in. Once it's all in, and back together, I have to trailer it to Red Bud, Illinois to have it rewired for OBDII. Once this is done, I'll have it setup to get a base tune done by HPTuners. Then onto the dyno to get finished!

Should be done in about 2 months!

Re: 94 S10 "The Bastard Child"

Soooo, yeah. The engine's been wrapped up like a Mummy in the bed for a few weeks now. Just finally got my brother to drop off his engine hoist. I had to work on the hoist (was leaking fluid really bad) so I fixed that, got it out and mounted on a stand. Going to hardware store today for a few minor items. Gotta lube the engine up with some oil, get the distributor mounted on it. and get it ready to mount to the transmission. Then to start taking the truck apart for the build.

Oh shit, you found a Syclone crank and rods?

What exactly are those? You got part numbers?

I guess I should of took pic's of the Crank/Rods before they were assembled. The Crank has a fillet main. The regular 4.3 doesn't have this. The connecting rod's are matching to the crank. I know for a fact they are from a Syclone due to the fact, the block they came out of was cracked due to a piss poor owner. The Syclone was reclaimed by Mike Sr of G & M Automotive (where the engine was built) and he replaced the 4.3 with a GN 3.8. Built the engine, and has for years owned a 800+ whp Syclone. He takes it out on occasion. Mike Jr his son until he sold it and built a new car. Was holding a street legal 9" street slick record for a 60's Camaro in a high 8 sec 1/4 mile time. He now run's low 6 sec 1/8 mile time's in a Blown Big Block C10 pickup.

Back to the topic. The connecting rod's as well have the markings, I forget what it is, like a casting dimple or something. The Cranks/Rod's used in the SyTy's (from what I've been told) we're made of a different metal mix than the regular ones, to ensure they took the abuse of the Turbo setup. But any way, tomorrow morning I'll begin my dis-assembly of the S10.

Ok well somebody BS'd you.

Now pay attention son.The ONLY Sy/Ty specific parts in our LB4s are the crap pistons and nodular main caps.

EVERYTHING else is standard 4.3

Block,heads,valve train,cam,crank,rods,ect.

Just everyday old 4.3 stuff.

No 4 bolt conversion to the block??? All those nice parts and for a few extra dollars you can have a better/stronger bottom end. Just wondering.

Um Norm, did you miss the part where he said he had a Syclone crank and rods?

He's obviously lost as last years Easter egg.

Trusting dumbasses that are more than willing to take the 25k he makes a year.

:(

I mean I admire his enthusiasm,but c'mon man,it's not rocket surgery.....
