.. here is a photo of the headers i ordered

i think the brand is patriot "not 100% sure though"

Passenger side with fit/work, drivers side will need to be modified.

for the awd setup yes but without the fwd system you dont need to modify it

BAD NEWS!!
the company "s10v8" was suppost to send the headers to an address of a forwarding company "aramex" which will send it to saudi arabia but unfortunately they said that the dont want to do it heres the email

and because of that im back to the planning board ....
well if any of you guys could find another source for the exact same header that would really help the name is Patriot 1 5/8" headers im not sure though if it was custom made

so after this mishap was cleared out i found another website called currentperformance.com who speciallizes in wiring but they have lsx conversion parts.. there i found they had sanderson shorty 1 5/8 headers and ordered them right away ...

till now there is no confirmation on when they would arrive but it should be here in about two weeks..

before then i will restore other parts of the car as well as checking the fuel tank to see if the fuel pump is a high pressure pump enough to support the ls1

Its been awhile since i updated so i just wanted to tell you guys about the progress ...

all this time i was pretty much fixing and restoring the interior ..
i removed the rear air suspension compressor and air shocks are replaced it with monroe sensatrac's...
i took out the fuel tank and took out the fuel pump...im still looking for a high pressure fuel pump that would fit..

i ordered the flywheel spacer already and its on its way the headers still didnt arrive till now..

UPDATE !!

POWERTRAIN-

the sanderson headers had arrived and they seemed great !! the finishing was not bad,

driver side-

passenger side

the design wasnt what i expected, the driver side header hugs the block rather than to wrap around the steering stem ,

the passenger side also was a perfect fit,

i plan to use the stock exhaust and muffler and just use a cutout..

another reason why im using the stock exhaust is because i need to have the exhaust routing right so the 4wd system will fit ...
i bought the front axle from the same year 4 door jimmy 4wd
the good thing is i can engage and disengage it jut by pulling a lever ..instead of an all time awd i could use only 2wd too....
it needs a rebuild though ...

another thing that arrived is my ls1 to 700r4 transmition adapter :

which is also not installed yet due to my lazy ass so i still dont know how it going to be....

now for the fuel tank

removing it-

then i opened it to check the fuel pump ..... then that smell of old racing fuel just burnt through my nose... anyways i checked the fuel pump and it was really dried out..

i found alot of good replacement pumps one good one was the aeromotive 340 fuel pump it has a fuel pressure of 70 psi alot of extra pressure for power adders....

now i am in the phase of restoring the front suspension ....
the paint of the control arms had gone and i want to know a way to paint it in the best way .... i heard brake caliper paint sticks good... any suggestions??

Your working on it with that much sand on it? How about spending a hour or so and washing that thing. It would make it easier to work on.

you dont have to swap the 4wd front diff, there is only 1 piece that makes it lock unlock and you can swap it onto your old front diff.

there is a howto somewhere on this board
