I guess me and my 4 trucks wont make this one either,at 65 yrs old I'm not up for any cross country trips,So go ahead and have it centrally located and get the same folks you always do.
**** KC.
When that stupid cop was searching my truck with a pound of dank skunk right in front of him,I said to myself "**** those chocolate chip cookies"
Fixed it for you.....going to Nats without a truck is like going to the Prom without a date and having a better time because you're getting a handjob behind the bleachers from a chick who also went solo and you're not tied to a boat-anchor of a girl who you're constantly worrying about her getting hit on and in the end, she still ain't putting out.
Don't worry, you didn't. :tup:Didn't wanna let the cat outta the bag....
Don't worry, you didn't.
-- this may be my last chance to go to a nats because of age and health concerns. So I for one am all for virginia.
Jack
This alone should be considered by the organizers. I would do whatever it took to help this guy out with the location. :2cents:

Yes. That's part of the delay - getting confirmation from the track. Is there a track close by? Nats without a track rental=

It's worth considering....definitely something you should bring up to the "powers that be". AutoX has been far more successful for Shindig and I suspect a similar trend could develop Nationally. The "nice" thing about track rental for NATS is that is guarantees a place/day/time to race for those wanting to. Not securing a track leaves a lot of unknowns (is the track running tonight, what time are they running, how crowded is it gonna be, will we be allowed to run classes and certain trucks side-by-side, etc...). It does become more complex logistically and track rental has always been an affordable solution to that problem. With as few trucks that actually race anymore during Nats events, is this really required? In other words, renting a track is almost a mute point and a waste of funding. Those that wanna run the track could just pay the $15-20, go through tech inspection and have at it. The rest could be in the stands cheering them on. It is kinda cool to see SyTy's run up against other vehicles at track events and it helps to increase awareness of our trucks. Of course, those that want race each other could pre-stage accordingly.
Just a thought.

But as they say, "the times, they are a changing."
