I found what seems to be a set screw on the side of the Double C Joint, i removed it and It seems to be the grease port, Am i Correct in assuming this? If so do i just need to get a needle greaser for my gun and go to town on it? Grease it up until I see new grease coming out of the joint sides...

Re: Would it be possible to build a 1996-2004 4.3 for Ty? Newer motors have a balance shaft to improve idle but it decreases performance through rotating mass, also Sy/ty Caps are better than the newer motors.

Do the front halfshafts Turn when the propshaft is removed from the truck and truck is moving forward?

Re: ice in the ontercooler idea. The inside of the intercooler is packed with aluminum fins just like the outside of your radiator, so you wont be able to fit any ice cubes inside, you might be able to try shaved ice but it wont last but a couple of minutes before dissapearing, the ony...

Re: front driveshaft loops Incase the driveshaft were to break it prevents it from denting the floorboard, breaking the tranny case, ruining shiting linkage and other collateral damage.

Re: Help diagnosing AWD problem please. OK, I took the propshaft out and the noise has stopped, I'm not sure, but I can assume that this means the driveshaft is bad, (can it still mean tc or diff is bad?) If everything I posted about what the truck was doing in the air on post one is normal...

Re: Help diagnosing AWD problem please. with all 4 in the Air and in any gear I cannot get the propshaft to turn by turning any of the wheels ( althought i dont know if it is supposed to function like this)

Re: Help diagnosing AWD problem please. Its not consistent justdreaming, also when I had just the fronts in the air I turned the fronts by hand and no squeeking, When i got all 4 in the air and ran them the squeeking started agian, makes me think its not a cv or bearing.

Well something has gone horribly wrong on my 91 Sy, heres what I know so far. Started as a rotational squeeking noise, At first i thought for sure it was the propshaft going bad so I put all 4 in the air to remove propshaft, thats when I Ran it in the air to test it, heres what it is doing...

Re: How to install stock arm coil overs Did you have to reinforce the upper shock tower? Are they meant to hold the front weight of the truck? If this setup works and is safe, why even bother getting tubular A-arms? just for looks?

Re: Fan When you put the stock fan back on did you use the stock shroud? The stock fan won't work well without the stock shroud.

Re: After 2 years of dust....... I'm Assuming its just something he rigged to keep the upper radiator hose from getting shredded by the alternator fan.

Re: My vaulted thread has a bad link Yes, I had mine leak, it turns out that on my hydroboost unit (astro van) the fitting was BARELY too short and it was not making great contact at the flare, i grinded just the smallest amound of material off the hydroboost unit and havnt had any trouble since.
