Re: did they ever make a 5speed syty? the monte carlo had the turbo option in 80-81 more in 81 than 80 same engine that was used in the turbo regals of the same yr.

Re: Belt sqeak mine was a problem all the time. It sounds like you may have a a/c clutch thats slowing failing. Have you replaced the belt tensioner?

Re: Turbo or blown head gasket? if the turbo is off the truck you can test the turbo by itself.

Re: Belt sqeak I found the problem. The power steering pulley has walked off the shaft about 1/16 of and inch. i dunno how or why. but i pressed it back on and all is great.
