I am confused here on a couple fronts....
First of all I have dealt with Tom on a few occaisons and he is a VERY nice and standup guy.
Second, based off the last ET I know about the Swede's have/had him covered by quite a bit.
Third, there is going to be tech at nationals? If so, I will not bother rushing to get more core support back and making the event, I only have a drivesahft loop, no cutoff, no cage no nuttin. I just wanted to come back a few 9 second pass' and leave.
Fourth, Get Tom to nationals, I like his truck, and is it still evenfire and on the tiny 66mm turbo?, he was going fast while most of the fast people were dreaming of 9's let alone 8's.

As far as Tech at nationals. Off the record, as long as people aren't doing anything stupid, the most they have ever asked for is people on bikes to wear leather pants...and fast trucks to wear a fire jacket. They have not asked anyone to slow down or leave yet. It is a little different when you rent the track. Its not open to the public for a reason.....

Logistically it is nearly impossible for every fast syty to make the Nats. That's obvious. Some people like Tom, could care less if they own the title "worlds fastest syty" He's an old school street racer, and doesnt really have much to prove to anyone.. He's just out having fun like most of us, and will take up a little grudge match when he can.
This year with the potential to have 2-4 of the quickest sytys in one place at the same time will put the rummors and critics to rest. Like someone mentioned earlier, KC tends to be a few tenths slower at best. So all year long we here guys going super fast, then they show up at the nats and they run like crap? is it the track, their truck?? What if ___ ?
Your timeslips in testing at your hometrack only go so far.. There are way too many variables that can give one truck a huge advantage over the other, but given the same conditions, the tables can turn.
To me, if someone shows up and puts the smack down on both Hoover and Robert (the two fastest timeslips to date) they have the quickest syty regardless of their ETs.
Yes it's unfortunate not everyone can make it, but if you want the braggin rights you need to take down the top dawg fair and sqaure. You can post your slips, your video, your dyno charts, etc but there's always the skeptics.
In order to gain the title "Worlds Fastest SYTY" i think you need to show up and make it happen.
If you dont show up, thats not to say your truck isnt fast or doesnt do what you claim, but you havent proven anything to anyone but yourself. To many, thats all they need though.
Here come the excuses! Mke if you do show up at the nats i'd like to make a friendly $100 side bet you don't run 9s (in a syty)

I guess the techinspection would bee a lithle easier at the nat´s as you said, typhoonzz, and the reason is. its a club event not a national race.. Have a Sy/Ty thats not lack of usual safety and you get to drive, I´ll guess the behavior on the run is what the ispectors is going to watch for if someone is to bee exluden to run..
The ET ins and outs... there are a bunch of racers from sweden who have taken their racecars to US and run on events and gained a couple of tens on their best et`s.. :O
If KC takes a couple of tens and we gain a couple just to run on god track it would be status Quo for Robert..
And we hope to run a test on a track near Jeff just to see everyting works as usual then the nats..
the worst ting that could hapen is a engine failure that we wont be able to fix.. all other tings, trans, axles,propshaft.. etc.. thats is a "easy" fix.. hrm .. ;D
We hope there bee more fast Sy/Ty´s at the nats, but we WISH for everybody to have a great time there..

guess i missed this....
so its in ny harbor.
your going to head south thru nj within 5 miles of my shop.
consider this an invitation to stop by.
however when your heading south on the nj turnpike take exit 4, rt 73 south towards berlin, after you go thru the berlin circle sign for atco is on the right hand side.
or if you want to stop by, take exit 4 off nj turnpike, follow sign for I295, take I295 south, exit 29, bottom of ramp make left, at light make right onto white horse pike rt30, 2 miles from that light on left hand side, AutoDogz & rhino linings sign.
Looks like your pretty much going to pass within less than 10 miles of atco raceway, if i understand that the truck comes into ny then gets towed south to nc to test it. Unless it comes into ny then gets towed west....

We were planning on driving down for the nats but maby it's not a good Idea if people are going to be like this... :tdown:
As for who's the fastest.. who cares.. there's always someone faster than you and has more money than you...... so get usto it :rotf:
