im still new to owning a syclone . so i need some opinions . im looking at buying some stock syclone wheels. i found a set that are good condition but 1 is bent a little , i have chrome plated syclone wheels that look ok but i like the stock finish . they are asking 500.00 for the set . and i would have to drive 2.5 hours to get them . is 500 is what i should exspect to pay? i can get the bent one fixed for 100.00

That is how much I would ask.

That is more than I would spend though.

You can find cheaper but its the convenience of being able to get them and not pay shipping......

I sold mine for $400 no shipping a few years ago. I would never run stock wheels due to small size, brake clearance & limited availability.

I purchased a set in excellent condition with decent tires with 80% tread for 500 shipped to my door. Take your time to find the right set, you will find them, just be patient;).

thanks everyone for your comments , i think i will just wait. i would like to get 18" wheels really . i guess ill just deal with my 16" syclone wheels for now . i just aint happy with the chrome

there was a set with tires for $300 in NJ a while back. I'm not sure if they're still available though. $500 is a little on the high side, especially if one is bent.

its more like a dent . he wont come down on price at all . he is willing to meet me allmost halfway in driving . im just not sure if i should be jumping into getting them when i want to go bigger anyway . oh and these wheels have tires but only 3 are matching. and center caps are pealling

I would hold on buying them if you don't need them and plan on ugpragding anyway. $500 is about halfway to what you need to get a nice set of 18's with tires. I think I paid $1200 for mine with tires, spacers, lugnuts. :tup:

i paid 400 shipped for a set with brand new tires, they needed refinished, but nothing a set of wheel paint wouldnt cure for the winter one is a little bent

It's a matter of what your looking for. For me, these trucks are collector cars and they will be much more valuable with the stock rims. If I was in your position, I would wait. From the replies, many here have found complete sets that were in good to excellent condition and with good tires for under 500.00 If this guy is "firm" on his price, time to move on! Sounds like the rims are not in the best condition and one rim is flawed. Just be patient, you will find a decent set.:2cents:

thanks guys, ive found that for these trucks prices on everything could be high or low , it is definately way differant then the mustang forms i been apart of for years. if i was to buy another syty set of wheels i would have to have them mint condition . and at that point i wouldnt mind paying a little more. at this time the wheels ive been talking about are the cleanest ive found.

Thanks, I probably have a half dozen sets of syty wheels and have sold enough of them in the past to know these wheels with the tires that are on them are worth $500 to the "right buyer". I recently sold a set of mint wheels and caps with tires for $1000 to a guy restoring a sy and I still have a brand new set of wheels put away that I wouldn't let go for $1000.
