Won't go into gear

Was driven my sy around parked it, went in to the store. when I got back in it it wouldn't go into gear shifter feels loose. Is there a cable or a pin that holds on to the trans? Any help would be great thanks.

There is a cable that attaches to a lever on the trans.

I think the cable just came loose when you shifted to park, remove the center console its realy eazy to remove and im sure you'll find the problem
