Why my Ty is slow?

I dont know if it is me or the Ty, but it feels like my Ty is slow. I mean, I have no extra tuning up or modifications, and I dont intend to do so either but it feels like it is not as fast as it was when I first bought it. Any suggestions guys???

you gotta qualify that, and quantify it too man. Would be shooting in the dark without more to go on than that. You know that...c'mon!

Maybe you have an intake leak. Look up the bicycle innertube test with the search feature. My truck lost power too. I heard a hiss coming from my engine whenever I got on the gas and thought it was the wastegate leaking. Turns out, all my boost was blowing out of the coupling between the charge cooler and the throttlebody.

Thats my vote. Time for cap/rotor/plugs/wires/O2 sensor.

that could be the problem right there. No tune up? Have you done any of the stuff the guys above suggested??

timing being pulled due to knock caused from lack of maintenece possibly?

How long have you owned it? Maybe your just getting used to it. Knock retard is very common, and caused by a number of things from the wearing of tune-up parts to the lack of fuel supply volume. When you get knock the ecm pulls timing, and decreases boost resulting in lower performance.

I think mine feels slow too! It runs low 12s and every one else that gets a ride says it real fast, but it feels slow to me Its easy to get immune to the power!

Bought it a couple of months ago..but I think I have a vacum leak somewhere which I have take care of because I keep on hearing this hissing when I accelerate. Apart from that, I have changed the spark plugs (NGK), spakrk cables (AC Delco), Air Filter (AC Delco), Oil Filter (AC Delco) and finally the Gas Filter (BOSCH)...oh changed the Battery too (it was really bad).

Intercooler pump and O2 sensor: Forgive my ignorance but where are they??? Pics?

The 02 sensor is right by the turbo. Its mounted to the exhaust pipe leaving the turbo, right on top; has some wires coming from it.

The intercooler pump is mounted down near where your lower heat exchanger is; under the front bumper.
