Which converter for a 20G-14cm2?

Just wondering which converter will go well with a bolt on 20G with a 14cm2 turbine housing. The truck is driven in stop and go in 108+F temps during the summer so I'd like to get a lock up converter that's as tight as possible to keep tranny temps down. I wouldn't mind loosing a few tenths with a tighter converter either...I'm not going for any records. As long as it would spool enough at the line to get 60's in the low 1.8's.

I need a new converter (no lock-up right now) and I'm not opposed to getting a new stocker if you guys think that will do the job.

Right now it's a stockish truck with basic reliabilty and anti-knock mods.

syty's need a GOOD tranny cooler anyways.

I had a 2800 stall with my 20g, worked well.

the 14 housing is slow to spool anyways so you will need more. Just add a nice cooler to go with it.

Oh yeah...just to add on...no cat and a 3" Borla XR-1 race muffler to keep the pressure differential accross the turbine as high as possible.

Should help spool up even with a tight converter.

I would add another tranny cooler but when its 110F out in traffic the coolant temp already goes 200+ with an optimized cooling system and my A/C doesn't quite cut the mustard even with the heater core bypassed (of course all 4 of my vehicles have a hard time A/C wise when its that hot out). All I need is to dump more heat into the condenser and radiator when I could just run a few tenths slower with a tighter converter. Hell, it's 97F out right now!

How will adding cooler affect engine temps?

You can mount it besides in front of radiator...
