Where did IC coolant go?

I had little misfortune to “T” in some silly kid in Camry making U-turn. I was less than 1 foot short, so I bumped that Camry my passenger side bumper went in a bit, broken plastic fender need some work.
Well, I don’t usually push it to much specially now when I need ball joint. I started to notice that truck was getting lazy. Yesterday at some point when it was very hot it felt like one cylinder missing. I shutdown for 40 min it was OK. I looked this morning: IC had no coolant expansion tank was empty too. Was full just little while ago; added about half a gallon: was running good in cool morning.

If my IC pump got damaged at impact: water would boiled out. Is there simple way to check if pump running?
What else should I check? Oh eh, radiator is full.

Yup, the top seal around my IC cap was messed up. Instead of going into the overflow, it would just leak out completely. Bought a new one at AutoZone for a couple bucks...

race or get outta the way
get the cap presure tested and the system presuure tested. I beleive 13lbs is the limit on the cap and the system but you should double check this. You should find a defective cap or leak in the system. Is the cap sealing tight. I saw one ic where the cap was on but didnt fit tightly... i thinkit was dons aka raist103.
The gremlins dont eat the coolant so its going someplace!!

The I/C system only holds about a half of a gallon (unless you have an aux IC), so it sould like yo have a leak not the sytem boiling out the cap...

If its getting hot enough to expand into the overflow then your IC system is not working properly. I have my overflow plugged.

Check your pump for correct operation, replace the hard metal IC lines with heater hose, get an AUX IC cooler, Heat wrap your ic, just do something to keep the temps down.

Pull the IC and look at the opening for the TB and make sure the IC core isn't leaking into the intake airstream.
