Wheel speeds?

Getting into the fine details now of tuning suspension etc. Had an idea.

What if I was to fit a wheel speed sensor to each wheel, and 1 to each driveline. (6 total).

I could then see how much each wheel is spinning, at what point they are spinning, etc.

I am not an electronics expert by any means. Anybody able to help me figure out a data acquistion system and sensors I would need, preferably on a budget?

What about this? Has 6 digital, 8 analog inputs ($50)

Re: Wheel speeds?

And before anybody asks, the ABS sensors are gone (c5 front, ls1 rear). The tone rings are still present though.

Re: Wheel speeds?

One of these gets you 4 sensors.... it's also easier to set up.

The ABS sensors would be the easiest. You should be able to get speed from the TOSS.

You really don't need trans speed... the wheels give you that. To determine wheelspin, you need the difference in ground speed vs. wheel speed.
