What kind of interest in a NEW take on the ATR liquid

I bought two this year. One is an early style and one a late. Even bought one brand new from ATR back in 1993.:tup:

Thought of making a new design. Same basic as original with perhaps the cap moved and or inlet size or design changed.

Everytime a used one pops up for sale they seem to go quick for $600.

I really like the liquid and run it on my beater Sy and Ty. With a good pump, the stock heat exchanger and an AUX cooler stuffed up front. Really hard to beat for lower to mid hp.

If I was to make them. Their price would be right around $600. Just gauging interest.

I'm interested based on what the prototype looks like. I'm trying to maintain the stock setup, but would like better cooling. I quess the question is, would one have to delete the ac?

I would assume there would be interest. I would like to see a larger air inlet diameter over stock.

IMO the pump and aux cooler are the key componets,not the reservoir.I think an aux cooler and pump would definitely have to be included with a new tank,because if you are going to address a problem,you might as well do it right.

Interested in one with a 2.25" or even 2.5" inlet.

Very interested in one. I've been wanting to get an ART upper for a while now but timing hasn't been in my favor when they pop up for sale. Personally, I want to stay with liquid cooling vs air-to-air. My dream setup would be an ATR or similar larger upper intercooler paired with sportmachine's over sized lower and a high volume pump. Figured that will easily keep my intake temps low and close to ambient. And with meth I can really get the temps down.

So I'd be very interested in one.

If you have methanol injection, you don't need all the additional coolers. The intake temps will be around ambient under boost with the stock IC as long as it's working properly.

I think I got the cores picked out to use. 6x6x10. Pretty much a direct copy of an ATR liquid with obviously a welded enclosure and not cast. 2.5 inch inlet and possibly move the water ports around a bit. Not interested in doing a group buy. May just make some for my trucks and any extras just put on the shelf.
Manufactured and sold turbo kits for a decade. Todays turbo and intercooler shoppers are little different to please. Hard to overcome all their "misinformation" they have gathered up on their performance path.
I do get this project done may see a few pop up on the parts for sale section. Never know.

Does anyone have or remember any info about improved performance with the ATR upper? Will it lower intake temps or flow better than the stocker?:2cents:

I'm kind of late to this party, but I'm down for a "new" ATR upper. I have the other ATR parts and I want that one to finish the setup!
