Installed the upper and lower intercooler. I did not put the stock pipes across the intake manifold. That is at least one thing that is not going to be stock. To much heat. But the Sy will be put back very close to stock. Its almost ready to drive.

Washed it and took it for its 1st real ride since winter. The winter mods all went well

I gave it a thorough bath and tried some of that Aerospace Protectant on the cladding for the first time.
I must say it's a little tricky to lay down evenly but the results are impressive.
Not "glossy" like some products (the only shine in the pic is due to my garage lights).
See the post below for an outdoor/show picture.

DROVE IT!

Actually took my wife for her first ride in it.
No kidding, she was thoroughly impressed.
I hardly used any throttle while we were out but she was impressed how snappy it was and how it handled. But her biggest compliments revolved around how "cushy" it is. :)

We then took it to a local car show.
It was a massive hit.
All sorts of folks asking questions and complimenting it.

Want to know the biggest thrill?
A new Hellcat Challenger was on-site and it's owner was positively glued to the Sy.
He knew what it was and was a joy to talk to.
I returned the favor by telling him, "my dream is a white Charger Hellcat with Brass Monkey wheels and the sound system. $63,780 and a printed copy is sitting on my desk.....lottery don't fail me now!" LOL!

It was actually a last weekend, finally got my stock refurbished radio reinstalled, also installed some Infinity Kappa 462.9cfp 4x6 2-way plates up front and Eclipse SE8405 4x10 3-way speakers for the rear, sounds decent and satisfying, happy to get some sounds back. Now to look for a small powered sub for a lil bass.

Started re-installing the AC. The line from the compressor to the condenser goes right where the cobra ell is. Haven't figured that one out yet. The reason is since I volunteer at the JC I can get it filled correctly at the JC auto AC class, the kids will get credit, and it's FREE! Just gotta figure the routing of that line. I think I can bend the line but don't want to break it either. (If you look down at the line where it connects to the condenser if I straighten that last ell I might get everything to fit.)

Installed new CV shafts with a lot of help from a friend. Thanks Craig (Chug).

Had John make me up some new seatbelt tabs out if .375 steel. Moved over my old harnesses and got a new set for the drivers side. Also put in a new steering wheel. Had the boys here mill me up a billet center cap & did an epoxy fill for the GMC lettering. Hopefully it'll see the track in the next couple weeks:p.

That's a beautiful steering wheel. What are the specifics on where you bought it and the very cool horn button?

I actually got this steering wheel off of a truck I bought out of Tahoe. It's a Momo Corse' steering wheel. The button we made here at the shop. It's non-functional, billet aluminum with an black epoxy inlay for the GMC lettering.
