I paid way more than what I will sell it for.

My truck is for sale as soon as a stock chip configuration gets flown in, btw. $12,800, entertaining offers and trades.

1993 GMC Typhoon: green/grey.

Re: what did u guy pay for your trucks?

I paid too much for mine.....$16,000 w/ 42,000 miles, it will be 5 years on June 1st.

Ive got $5300 into it just in transmissions alone, not including stupid crap like coolers, pan and braided lines. I dont even know where to begin with all the little crap like the rear sway bar, stater, alternator, fuel pump, guages, steering box, renz's shaft, stereo system, wheels, turbo, downpipe, injectors, chip crap.........Ive probably got around $11,000 invested on top of the original price purchase....... :banghead:

stupid ass trucks. :squint:

paid 15k for it, gto 15k in the body resto and motor removal reinstall and about 10k in the motor i figure

Re: what did u guy pay for your trucks?

Much too much for what I got. Live and learn I guess. About 500 into it so far in tune up and other little things.

Oh well, if I spread out the spending over a few years it won't seem as bad. :)

Re: what did u guy pay for your trucks?

Paid $16,500 for my Sy 7 years ago w/ 20k miles on it. Truck was/is mint exterior/interior. Add $5,000+ in repair costs until two years ago when it died.
The upgrades still in progress will be approx $10k when Im done. Next year its new wheels, full paint, and big brakes... another $7k... so the grand total will be... almost $40k. Damn that disgusts me. But I will never, ever, ever sell it, and everybody needs something to waste their money on.

15K 5 years ago for my sy (mint condition) with 22K miles on it, now 23K. It has about 5K upgrades - i.e fuel pump. Mods - i.e headers, chip, turbo, converter, exhaust and hood. Resto - i.e wheels refinished..

16K 2 years ago for my ty(mint condition) with 31K miles on it. I have about 1.5K in tune up, heater core, sway bar, tires, windows tinted and corvette wheels.

$9500 for '91 Syclone #1596 back in 1998 (with 54k miles)
$5500 for '92 Syclone #0113 back in 2004 (with 74k miles)

Probably have $14,000 in #1596 and $8500 in #0113.

Re: what did u guy pay for your trucks?

I paid 11,500 for my Sy 4 years ago (not including travel expenses) I am sure that I am into my Sy for about $20k now (I do have a bunch of parts laying around, if your looking at my website.) My plan for my Sy will probably cost me $35K with the motor the way I want it and with a next to perfect paint job. So much for a daily driver Sy with just minimal mods (that was what I thought going to do when I bought it, lasted about 2 weeks) So far, I am doing much better with my Sy than I did with my Corvette.

Re: what did u guy pay for your trucks?

I paid $10k for the Sy in 1996. It had 43k miles and was knocking.
I paid $13k for the Ty a couple of years ago but it needed a little paint work and some tuning.

$8000 in December of 2004 for my Sy w/ 74,000 miles. Too bad I already spent approx $3000 since then on transmission, brakes, radiator, etc. I feel I still made out very well.
