wanted: misc. Sy exhaust brackets

Specifically I'm looking for parts 8 and 10 in the diagram below. I'm sure someone has these laying in the spare parts bin.

Below is an image of what the cat supports may look like, as seen on pbrito's Ty:

The Sy I just purchased came w/ a catalytic converter but no cat-back exhaust. I noticed on the test drive it rattled a bit, and upon inspection the cat was banging around on the torsion bar crossmember. I jammed a piece of wooden molding under there. That lasted about 500 miles before it fell out. A wadded up pizza box lasted about 200 miles. A chunk of retread rubber from the side of I-40 went in next and it lasted 2300 miles.

Now its time to fix it right. There are NO supports/brackets where the cat flange bolts to for support. I need the part that bolts to the crossmember, the part that bolts to the back of the cat flange, and whatever connects the two. Also, I'm still looking for the L-bracket that bolts to the frame and hangs the tailpipe. I can fab one, but if someone has this laying around it'll save me some time.

Thanks in advance!

how about you stick to non-flammable items...unless you like car fires?

He was probably trying to be resourceful. I know where he's coming from been there. But ya paper and heat bad:rotf:. I need to do the same I have a few brackets missing too. I need to fab some up soon. I have some bar stock lying around.

Re: wanted: misc. Sy exhaust brackets

Sy2206 is hooking me up with the cat brackets (part #8). If noone wants to bother with part #10 I can fab something pretty quick.

As for the flammable stuff, yeah I was lazy. Resourceful but lazy. I knew about the fire danger, but there isn't anything critical around that area even if it did catch fire.:rotf:
