Re: WANTED: 100% Original Documnted Survivor 1991 Syclone

1650 miles on mine... but don't have the window sticker... it's a saudi. Just bought from original owner in feb of this year. ( I can introduce you if you like.)

Not really looking to sell unless we're talking some good coin. Everything has a price.
I did change the cap, plugs and wires, and battery. (all of which i still have)

How much are you looking to spend? I know of a couple that fit your criteria with less than 1,000 miles but if you want to get in a 100% Original Documented Survivor 1991 Syclone for $15-20,000 I think you are wasting everyone's time.

T, I appreciate your response and interest in my thread and I did PM you the other night but you never returned my message to my response. I am not prepared to discuss on a open forum the answer to your question "How much are you looking to spend?"...this will depend on many factors like the mileage, condition, history, documentation, etc of the right truck when it comes along. Although I am new to the Sy-Ty community and have never owned a Syclone or Typhoon before I have been involved in the Buick Turbo Regal community for almost 20 years and sold my original 735 mile 1987 Buick Grand National a few years ago as I felt gulity every time I put mileage on it and it was more of a museum car. I currently own a very low mileage survivor 1987 Buick Regal Limited Turbo (1 of 1035), Dark Metallic Blue with a Tan Leather interior and factory Astroroof with 101 options - in other words loaded. This car was originally part of the Reggie Jackson car collection and is about 99% percent original with the exception of the battery (which I am have the original Delco Freedom battery) and the black assembly line oil filter.

No different from a Survivor less then 1000 mile original, documented 1987 Buick Regal Turbo - not many of these will sell usually for less then $18K and I am sure that the Ultra Rare - 'Holy Grail' to Syclone collectors the ASC Marlboro Syclone edition will rarely sell for very few dollars JUST like a original 1987 Buick ASC GNX with the window sticker still in the window and less then 1000 miles...have you seen what the price of a original ASC 1987 Buick GNX with less then 1000 miles is selling for lately even with the recesion we are curretly in and all the jobs being lost daily they are still going for quite big money. This is the reason I stated in my wanted thread that I am looking for a truck with less or around 5000K miles and NOT 1000 miles as I realize the price range a truck with less then 1000 miles will be in and I am not looking for another museum piece or trailer queen that I would just sit and stare at and be afraid to put mileage on and something could possibly happen to it every time you take it out. I have already been there and done that with my 735 original mile Buick Grand National I had a couple of years ago and other Chrysler musclecars I have owned in the past that became nothing more then trophy collectors after a while. I am just a regular guy and not a car collector but appreciate and enjoy original, survivor type unrestored vehicles especially if they have a unique interesting history and story behind them.

So while I do appreciate your offer and help and post's to my thread, I can assure you I am not here to waste every bodies time as you stated earlier in your quote. Thank you.

Still not tracking on your secretiveness. While I understand a MINT "complete" gem will pull more than a MINT one without the original window sticker and battery, there still should be an amount listed so those willing to help you out can target their search for you accordingly. In other words....."I am willing to pay up to $30,000 for a xxxxxxxx type vehicle. If anyone has knowledge of one fitting my description, please let me know". On the other hand, if you are desiring a low mileage one to drive and enjoy, what does a window sticker or 5,000 miles matter. I have seen some with less than 20,000 miles in better condition than some with under 5,000 and they can be had within the $15,000 range. You determine how you wanna address your desire though, I was just trying to make it easier on all concerned

$84,000 - $112,000. I have been eyeballing them for years. A 500 production run (GNX) versus a 3,000 production run (Syclone) makes a huge difference in collectibility and pricing.

perhaps if you didnt take it out of context and took your head out of your ego... i mean... anyway, you would see he was comparing the GNX to the Marlboro Syclones, which would be a similar comparison, or as close as you can get with apples and oranges.

Obviously you have nothing to offer this buyer, so please find your way out of this thread as per forum rules. Here is the link incase you missed it : http://www.syty.net/forums/showthread.php?t=63854

Thanks.

Which State are you out of and what's your first name and I will probably remember!?!

Yes, I was lucky enough to own a 1970 Dodge HEMI Super Bee (1 of 10 Built) and 1 of three left with numbers matching that I sold many years ago before the cars went through the roof...if I held onto it, it would have easily been worth the price of a couple of Marlboro Syclones! :) I found out later it was also the Pilot Car (first one built) according to Mopar Guru Galen Govier in WI and was also rare as it was a St. Louis build car and most hardtop Hemi cars were built in Michigan. It was very low optioned and was a hardtop, Hemi EV2 Orange with a black gut and bench seat, automatic column shift, AM radio, tinted glass, Super Track Pack/Danad 60 with 3.54 gear set and was about 70% original paint and documented.

I sold the car when I went working overseas with my employer...in retrospect I wish I had kept it and just put it into storage. When I came back and the prices started going silly on Chrysler/Mopar cars that is one of the reasons I got back into Turbo Buick Regals as it was more affordable and fun for the average 'joe' like me. I have some great memories with me and my Dad and that car going to shows and cruises etc and that continues with my survivor 1987 Buick Regal Limited Turbo and possibly a Survivor Syclone in the stable one day!

Do you own any Mopars? I was lucky enought to meet some incredible people over the past 20 years in the Mopar hobby...super people...just like the Buick Turbo and Sy/Ty world!

Jason, it is all good. I knew you weren't taking it personal and I was trying to gather a figure from you to work within so we aren't spinning you onto $22-25,000 trucks when you wanna stay under $18,000 (for example).

Oh, the red Sy is not a real pace truck. I just put the decals on to make it look different but thanks for the compliment.
